Flu Shot (x-post)

The kids and I have an appt. to get the flu shot on Wednesday. We've never had it before so I was wondering if anyone has had it and if so, did you have any side/after effects of it?

My boys had the flu vax about 2 weeks ago, whilst one had no probs the other was unwell overnight grunting and crying all night it seemed like a real pain cry def not his usual grizzly IYKWIM. Kept up the panadol and nurofen to him and he was back too his normal self about 24hrs after the injection.

Me and Noah get ours on Thursday so im wondering the same? Noah will be 6 months 1 week and Im feeling a little nervous about it, anyone had there really little bubs done?

We had it about a month ago and had no problems. I took panadol just before I went in (as a nurse had suggested) and had no side effects at all. My DH had a vague headache for a couple of days and that was it. Last time I had it I was sick for about a week so I was pleasantly surprised this time round. The nurse said that this season's shot seemed to have less side effects than previous ones. Of course, that's not official, just anecdotal. I hope you have the same luck!
