Howdy all!
I'm moving house with a 6 months old bubs in about 2 weeks time, and was wondering if anyone has found that their moving effected their children in any way?

We took him down to Sydney for a week's holiday when he was 4 months old and his routine was mucked up big time! Sleeping was a nightmare and it was just plain HARD! Ah, the joys! :D

So I was wondering if you have ever moved with children in the past, what effects, if any, did it have?

we moved from sydney to perth when ozzy was 4 1/2 months and he was fine :D routine was a bit messy for a couple of days but once the furniture arrived and he was back in his own cot etc he was fine. if you can get your bub's room as familiar as possible as soon as possible they should settle fairly well, even if you're dealing with a time difference or something. as long as you're around it should only be difficult for a day or so
good luck! it's soooooo much fun moving with a baby

We moved from Melb to Canberra when Hannah was 3/1/2yrs old and Bec was 6mths old.
After a couple of days of being unsettled they both adjusted and haven't looked back.

I havent moved state with my son, but we have moved three times in the last year that he has been born, and it took one or two days for him to get use to the new look of the house and where everything was, but with the same furn, i found it quite easy, but then again, my son u could leave with a stranger and he would have a ball, lol good luck!:fingerscrossed:
