Hoping someone can help. I'd like to get a 4D scan done of bubs but have no idea where I should be going. The place that did my diagnostic scan doesn't do them.
Can someone suggest a good place in Melbourne that provides 4D scans?
Thanks!

I know a fantastic place in StKilda, a lovely friend mentioned it to me :o
It is called Early Image 4D Ultrasound Centre
Suite 5
444-456 High Street
Prahan, Vic 3181
Telephone: 9529 7433
I will be getting booked in there. My friend had hers done there and bubby wasnt very active and they couldn't get a good scan so they told her to walk around, try some bubbly coke or a coffee..and after half n hour still nothing, so they booked it for the next day free of charge. They have packages ranging from $135 to $295. Good luck :smiliedance:

Hi
Dr Shawn Choong of Northern Ultrasound for Women,17 Grimshaw Street, Greensborough, 9435 2477, can do 4d scans in addition to your normal 19/20 week medical scan for no extra cost, he is only charging $175 for our 20 week scan. I'm getting mine done with him on Thursday and he will video tape it for us as DH won't be there for it. He is also a OB which means he will be able to answer any questions you have during your scan.
So I hope that this helps, alot of places who have newer equipmet might be able to do it in conjunction with your normal scan by flicking a switch. Might not hurt to ask your regular ultrasound place if they can do it for you.

I didn't have one but I friend of mine had a 3d one, she was sent to knox private for all of her ultrasounds and it was covered by medicare. When I went for mine my doc sent me to a normal 2d one. I looked into 3d and 4d and they all cost, unless your doc sends you.

That depends if it is done for medical purposes.
If it is just a personal choice then no it is not.
I got mine done at Early Image and they are really friendly and accommodating to ensure that you get the best viewing of your baby. We booked in for the cheaper package but ended up with a longer scan than mentioned and the DVD was priceless with soundtrack that we chose. It was also good because the video of our 2D scan broke :( so at least we did have some footage of baby in mummys tummy.
