Well. I am new to all this and finally beginning to get my head around it. I want to use cloth although I did get a small pack of newborn disposibles just to begin with as it's the first baby and I am sure I will have many other things to think about when he first pops out!

Anyway, I just began to buy some cloth stuff... I bought a trial pack (comes with one nappy thing you have to fold and a cover and a liner) of Bambino Mio and seeing it in real life just made much more sense. I found reading about cloth quite overwhelming.

I also ordered the Itti Bitti trial pack that comes with one sewn, one snap AIO and a booster. It has been posted so I am very excited about it! I am hoping to get it soon! I can't wait to get my hands on them! =)

I think I am going to get two Peapods this weekend from a shop that does them too.

As you can see, I want to get a few of each brand and try them out first before I choose the one I like and buy lots.

Next, I really wanted to get the Baby Beehind trial pack. I have been thinking about ordering that the last few days and only just noticed that it says it's for preorder and and I have to wait for new delivery of stock and will be late May, early June!!! :crying:

I know it's silly but I wanted it now even though the baby isn't due until the end of June...

I guess I can order what's in the pack individually but that will cost 35 bucks more.... do I wait? Do I not wait? Bah!

Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo to pre-order!

i would wait

just think the money you save you can get another nappy!!!!! i just had a look at a few sites...can't believe they are all out of stock of the bamboo OSFM!

I agree with Katie! Those $35 could buy you a whole other fancy nappy, or one and a half basic style ones!
I love my BBH and I know a lot of other women do too, so I can see why they would have sold out!

Have fun fighting the addiction of cloth!

It's just the Bamboo fitted OSFM that is out of stock so thats why the trail pack is on pre order . You should see if there is a consultant in your area as they may be able to get you the rest of the trial pack contents and just wait on the bamboo to come when they are back in stock . Never know if you don't ask ;) . I always use my local consultant and she is really great - and the bonus is there is no postage cost when you buy though them .
I have some bamboo fitteds on order and I got an email yesterday that they were about 3 weeks away , so it shouldn't be long .
I really hate waiting on nappies too and my baby hasn't arrived yet , it's just so nice getting fluffy mail !!

Thanks for all the messages!

I am going to email BBH and a local consultant and go from there. I will probably wait (and maybe get something else from somewhere else in the meantime).

This is so unlike me. I normally totally hate all kinds of shopping. I seemed to have found a weakness. Whoops.

My KRudd bonus went on my credit card (with the intention of spending a lot of it on nappies :p) but I had a problem with credit card fraud the other day :banghead: and had to get my card cancelled! So can't go buying any nappies just yet! Soon though, soon!

Good idea.

That was what I did, brought a few different brand (patrolled around for specials) until I had an idea of what I did and didn't like.

I'm in Perth too, whereabouts are you?

I did the same as NCB and have lots of trial packs, but then you find you don't like certain ones! I always wish that I knew what I knew now so i wouldn't buy one of every kind of nappy!

But BBH are classics and I hope Dungeonkeeper, you get some from the local consultant!

Gosh, they're out of stock? I hope they have stock for the Expo next week!

Nope, definitely NO bamboos available until end of this month at all.

And all small PUL covers are sold out until end of this month/early June.

Bamboos have been out of stock since February, there was a teensy delivery a couple of weeks ago that was gone within a day.

I think you can still order them through the website, they will go on pre-order for a few weeks.

That's what they said when I got in touch with them. There's lots of stuff that's out of stock so they couldn't even send part of the trial pack out.

All is not lost though!!

The local representative has come through and provided me with EVERYTHING that comes in the trial pack! :D

She was brilliant and very helpful. So was the person that got back in touch with me from the website actually. I picked up the stuff from her this evening and have been fondling the goods all evening.

I also got a 'we tried to deliver a parcel' note from the postie this morning so will be picking up my Itti Bittis tomorrow from the post office. Exciting. Now need a bum to try them on but there's still 7 weeks to go for that. Eeeeeek. It's not actually that long 7 weeks is it... scary!

Hi girls
I have read this thread with so much interest. I am interested in getting cloth nappies as a gift for my sister in law as I know she is keen to use them. However having never used them myself I don't know which brand I should get for her. It is her first baby and she is due in 7 weeks so I want to make sure I get them soon. And I can see some sell out quickly. Please help with some suggestions?
Thanks

There are quite a few brands that don't sell out as easily as others. Baby beehinds Magic-alls, Itti Bitti D'Lish, any of the ones from online shops like Nurture Nappies or Darlings Downunder, GreenKids, Issy Bear etc. These are some of the ones made my manufaturing companies rather than WAHM and are easier to get hold of.
