My mother suffered this today, I am currently de-stressing, hence my hyper posting (for some reason that works)

anyone had this experience in their life/family?

My pop has amnesia from an accident so I do understand how affecting it can be. He only remembers some things sometimes. He gets very grumpy and frustrated by it.

I have not seen this type myself, but :hugs: you must need them.

My Husbands Aunt had this happen a couple of years ago. It was really frightening for my husbands Uncle and cousins when it happened. They too had initially thought a stroke but it turned out to be Transient Global Amnesia. It happened two days before her Grandsons Christening so that of course was postponed. There were a couple of warning signs the day before but of course weren't connected until after the event. It is such a strange thing but thankfully not long lasting, just gives everyone a big scare and of course some memory loss of those 24 hours.

Big :hugs: to you, your mum and family. I hope she is feeling much better now.

Hi Pax,

My name is Smita and I am journalist at That's Life! magazine. We are looking to speak with someone who has experienced Transient Global Amnesia.

I was wondering if you would consider speaking to us about your mother's experience for a feature in our magazine?

If this is something you would feel comfortable doing, please email me at smita.mistry@pacificmags.com.au with your contact details so I can give you some more information.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Kind regards,

Smita
