For the past few days my DS has started snoring, loud enough to rival his daddy! He keeps waking himself up through the night and during his nap... Is this normal?

Ozzy snores too! I find it happens mostly on the days where he is either getting sick or if he has had a huge day then he snores his head off that night! It can get really loud eh!

I shared a room last weekend with my 3yo nephew and OMG I never knew a small child could make so much noise!!! Between him and my DH I got almost no sleep. I found myself worrying about the few moment he had when he wasn't making any noise in case he had stopped breathing. I imagine kids are just like adults some snore some don't. If youa re concerned maybe next time you see the Dr you can ask about it.

i find my dd snores heaps if she has boogies. I clean em out with a cotton wool tip, not that she likes it much.lol
if that doesnt work i think hes just a snorer!

I think its worth getting snoreing checked out by a Dr. Snoreing can be a sign of sleep apnea

Both of my kids snore something chronic! They have both been x-rayed and both have enlarged adenoids which may need to be removed. It is an inherited thing as most of dh's family have this problem.

My ds has sleep apnoea and needs to go to an ENT specialist (just haven't got around to it - slack Mummy!) to look at having his adenoids removed. He is a mouth breather and is having trouble toilet training, as his bowel motions are very runny and aparently this is a sign of sleep apnoea as well! He is 3y4mo, healthy, active but always has dark circles under his eyes. He doesn't have a daytime sleep as a rule, but if I make him go to bed, he will drop off very quickly as he is so tired.
