Any 30+ mums in Brissy who'd like to get together to chat about other stuff (ie. maybe not babies!!!)??? Perhaps books, new business ideas for SATMs, etc. etc.???:detective:

I have a divine little boy 14mths old who I absolutely adore, but I'd also love some intellectual stimulation not related to Bananas in Pyjamas, Kindermusik and Fisher Price Little People some time!!!

My hubby & I moved to Brissy a year ago after closing our interstate business and altho staying at home has its advantages (own boss - sort of...:banghead: ) it would be great to replicate some of that interaction I've been missing from the working world (without the bs associated with working!!!:ecomcity: ).

Love to hear from anyone like-minded.

Cheers

Hi Rose,

I would love to get together. I am 36 and some days feel a lot older then everyone else. I too would also like to have a conversation that doesn't involve the wiggles etc or playing "hide n seek" with the bottle! :D

I live at Forest Lake, but I know Bracken Ridge pretty well as I used to live there. Or meet up in between if anyone else is interested.

I am available Monday and Tuesday of each week. The rest of the week is taken up by school volunteering etc.

Joanne.

Hi Rose

We live in Strathpine. I'm a full-time SAHM now. I've worked as a paralegal since I was 15, but have also dabbled in other occupations including my own home business as a beauty consultant. I will soon have a "job" (other than being a SAHM) project managing the building of our new home at Eatons Hill.

I'm 32, DH is 37 now. We have a 5yr old DS and 5mth DD.

I'm happy to meet up some time for cuppa and chat if you'd like to. DS is in preschool Tues & Thurs or otherwise there's a play area at Strathpine shops where he'll play happily for 1/2hr or so.

Look forward to chatting.
(PS we only have dial-up still & I don't get online too often so don't panic if there's a day or 2 between my posts! )

Hi Ladies

I'm at Bracken Ridge too!!

I just wanted to let you know that I've organised a date in the park next week - the big kids need to burn some energy. It's both Tuesday and Thursday at 10am. PM me if you would like the location.

I hope you can make it, and maybe we can all get some mental stimulation!!

Hi Alyx

Thanks so much for your reply - unfortunately, my husband was transfered to Melb in Oct last year, so we have sold our house in Bris and re-located. I would have loved to meet up. We have new challenges now: a two and half year old son and a 2 week old baby girl!!! Wow, its busy! Mental stimulation is currently a flatline!!! Its all good tho!

Good luck with the house building.
Regards
Rose

Hi Rose

Shame that - but I've met some other BubHub Brissy northside mums this week who are really nice as well.

My big sis is in Melbourne and expecting no. 6. I'm not too sure which suburbs are east or west in Melbourne, but she's "punkydiva" on BubHub. Maybe you guys will end up chatting and/or meeting up!! LOL

All the very best with your 2 little ones - my DD is only 5mths and I had undiagnosed PND until she was nearly 3mths old so I only barely remember her at 2weeks old! DS was 5 last month, but I've got more memories of him at 2 weeks. Got to love them - I look at the two of them on the rare occasion they are both snuggling with me at the same time and wonder where on earth the time has gone!!

Take care and hope you enjoy your time with the kids, despite the challenges of moving interstate and being so busy - someone once told me that when you have your 2nd child, your work actually triples, not just doubles! As I'm sure you now know also, that is so true!

Hi
I'm happy either way. I meet up with another mum from Boondall once a week. But would like to get to know some other mums around the area as well. My email is letitiarob@hotmail.com if you would like to email me.
