Hi I'm really sorry this post is going to reveal a little too much information, so stop reading now if you're feeling nauseaus.

I'm 34 weeks pregnant, and have been having quite loose bowel movements for about 2 weeks now. About 15 minutes ago (I'm at work) I felt the need to go to the bathroom and pee (as usual) and so I went to the bathroom and my underwear was just covered in waste - ok I'm just going to say it - poo. Very runny. It must have just happened because I didn't feel 'wet' when I was sitting at my desk. Still needing to wee, I sat down on the toilet and without any effort, or any control, a whole lot more poo just came rushing out. I had no control over it whatsoever, and could barely feel it.

I know this is revolting, but I'm a little worried. How could I pass waste without even realising?? Is this something to be worried about? I feel rather nauseus now, and my stomach is cramping a little, and I have a headache.

What is going on?? Anyone know what this could be? Or is it just another one of the joys of pregnancy

EDIT: Forgot to mention I've been taking raspberry leaf tablets for the last 4 days

Could you have picked up a tummy bug from someone? It sounds like a bout of gastro to me. I'd go see the doc just to be sure though.

I wouldn't be too worried about not feeling the need to poo (not the nicest thing to have to talk about huh? :p). I've had a few colonoscopies and the drink they give you to prepare for the procedure results in what my nurse described as "apple juice poo" ie. was as runny and clear as apple juice! When it got that runny I got to the stage I couldn't feel it coming on.

Gross subject and hard to talk about I know! :barf: I hope you are feeling better though!

:hugs:

You poor thing - whilst it hasn't happened to me - I can imagine how scary it must have been for you - especially since you were at work.

I wonder if it is the Rasperry Leaf Tea? I just did a quick search and the first two pages I saw stated that RLT can stop constipation and diarrhea in some people - but it can also cause it in others...maybe you're just one of the unlucky ones.

Maybe stop the RLT for a couple of days and/or see your GP just to be sure you haven't picked up a tummy or other bug?

Good luck, and I hope you feel better.:hugs:

It sounds like either a tummy bug or a reaction to the Tea. I hope it passes for you quickly! (oops, pardon the pun :))
