Hello Ladies,

As no one has posted anything for Sydney yet, I thought I'd best bite the bullet and get us going!

I was thinking that Centennial Park at Homebush has a fairly good area that has a playground, a grassed area and (I think but I will go and check) a couple of BBQ's should we decide we want to have a grill up  Homebush seems fairly central but if anyone has a better idea for a location let me know!

Date: Saturday 13th June 2009

Time: 10am or 11am ????? Any preference??

Location: Centennial Park, Homebush (exact area TBA), any other suggestions welcome!

If anyone would like to help get this going, or if you have any suggestions for activities or food or anything else to make the day great, please feel free to PM me or post here.

Lets give those girls from Brisbane a run for their money! There has to be more of us than them!

Kam, Missy and Beany, it would be great to see you there. Kam I might have to get some pointers, I have never organised anything beyond family get togethers

Is everyone ok with Homebush so far? I am going to head down there this weekend and get the name of the road and check directions for how to get there.

I can't believe we had such a poor turn out last year Kam. You would think there was hundreds of us around Sydney... hmmm maybe a different area might be a thought...

Homebush is a bit of a bugger to get to by public transport as it's a bit of a hike from the station. But, that said, it is a nice park with lots of room.

The weather was poorly last year and it is the start of flu season. I have been to do's at homebush in the past (although a few years ago now) where there was a good turn up.... No idea of where else would be suitable though.

Bump !

Cmon we have to get this rolling ... There are so many of us & yet we can never organise a decent gathering anymore :(

I think Homebush might be the place to stick with as its more central than other places unless someone else has some ideas ??????

Homebush is the most central . . right near the M4 as well . . has a cafe and playground and huge grassy area and bike track etc . . so good for the whole family ..

It is a little walk from the station but its not bad . . or there is a bus from strathfield station also . .

I have been terribly slack! Organising a 4th birthday

Homebush it is then :yelclap:

Does anyone know where they hire the bikes at? I was thinking that area there would be great. Pretty sure that is where the kiosk is and there is definitely a big grassed area and bike track that run past the play area there.

I think it would be good to get an idea of numbers and organise some way for us to all stand out to each other when we are arriving. Also, what was the plan last year for food and all that business, did everyolne just fend for themselves or was there like a mass picnic thing going on? ANyone have any suggestions or preferences?
