I thought this thread could either go in AP or breast feeding forum.

I have a 12 month old and am 6 weeks pregnant! I wanted to feed my son for at least the next year because it creates a strong bond and i am a strong believer in prolonged breast feeding but it has just occured to me for the next 3 years of my life i will be breast feeding. This seems a bit daunting!

Has anyone else done this before? I co sleep, will carry my bub in a sling but i dont think the bond will be as strong if i dont breast feed.

I'll be interested in keeping an eye on this thread out of curiosity if thats ok.

I personally couldn't breast feed and I had a scare with co-sleeping so I don't do that either ... BUT .... I've always wondered how AP cope with the second child.

So if it's ok I'd like to keep looking in. I pwomise I'll be good. I am genuinly interested.

Why not do both?

Get in touch with the ABA, or people who will support this decision. Tandem feeding is gaining more support every day.

Umm, i don't know if this helps you at all. I have a friend who has been breastfeeding continuously for the past 8 years and has had 2 pregnancies in that time..she breastfeeds her children to the age of 3/3.5. i guess you know that it's possible anyway, she just said that she eats really sensibly to protect her own body from losing stores of minerals, etc.
Congratulations on your pregnancy, too!!
