We had better start playing a bit better than we did against Paraguay the ther night!! An own goal by the oppo rather than a brilliant beckham goal is not the most illustrious of starts.
I know we are slow starters but that could send us right out of the round unless we get a grip. and I really can't cope with the aussies england pommy bashing and the constant insistance that they are the best at everything. If they get through and we don't.......oh my, what a dreadful and unbearable thought!!!!!!

Thats NOT going to happen!!!!!!! NO WAY....god I get so nervous when they play -youre right, the Paraguay game was a pretty **** start but theres a long way to go.....:fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:
Yep, I really miss home!!!!! pound-a-pint when the footy's on!!! Think I might have beer for brekkie for the Sweden game! Yeeehooooooooooo!!! GO ENGLAND
!!!!!!!
I would LOVE to see the Aussies beat Brazil!!!!
Tonight they play again don't they grrr I have forgotten who!
I find it hard to stay up late at night much easier early morning!
All this world cup talk is making me homesick for the UK (I'm an aussie but lived there for nearly five years '99-'03) and I was there for the last world cup, in a football mad nation, the atmosphere was great and loved going to the pubs to watch the games....my DH really misses all the real ale - we are going for the aussies and for the poms in the matches they are playing!!
if they get through and we don't.......oh my, what a dreadful and unbearable thought!!!!!!
4am insane-mad-woman screaming.
My neighbours must LOVE me :D
Must admit, my heart was in my mouth when Trinidad got that goal in ... thank god for the off-side rule, eh?

My, youre dedicated! I LOVE the beautiful game, I LOVE my beautiful country but I also LOVE my sleep!! he he he!!! I will be up early to watch the Sweden game though......Monday am i think? Hey, we're through anyway arent we? Do we NEED to beat Sweden or would it just be a bonus??? Hmmmmmmm
Watching Eriksson's face during the Sweden match should be entertaining in itself.
Oh and I love my sleep too. I didn't get up until 11am today :o
PS: Caroline, when that Pommy bashing starts up, just remind them who won the rugby. And the cricket.

Well, no, not THAT one :p I meant the World Cup. Or the Champions League. Or whatever the hell it's called.

Hi Caroline F,
If you go to www.bbc.co.uk/radio then go to radio 2, James Nesbit did a show the other week playing all the old footy anthems, fan-fooken-tastic!
Or, Chris Moyles on Radio 1 cant help but play all that stuff - really takes me back...ENJOY!!!!

I'm sad, the reason I like it is cos you can actually imagine seeing the england supporters in the stands waving their hands at the other supporters and bugging them with it. Its purely childish...but hey, who cares!!!:smiliedance:

I was in London 4 years ago when the last world cup was on. It was the best atmosphere being in those little pubs drinking pints of beer and cheering to what ever team was playing.
