Long story short ended up in er yesterday as noah was non-stop vomiting, floppy, pale and moaning in pain. Came on really quickly, he was absolutely fine all morning. They kept him in hospital for a while, did x-rays as they suspected intussusception but this was found to not be the case. They let us go later in the evening (after a few hours of no more vomiting, he had a sleep and woke up to his old self again) with the prognosis that it was likely to be the early onset of a viral infection (most likely gastro) and just to keep and eye on him, frequent feeds etc. Well he was completely fine all night and has woken up this morning fine with no diorhhoea (sp?) and no more vomiting.
Im just really baffled now and wondering maybe if it was something he ate instead? He had porridge and apples for breaky. He has had this before with seemingly no problems but thinking back he has spewed a couple of times after having porridge. Do you guys think its a possibility there is something in the porridge he might be allergic/intolerant to and maybe it is gradually increasing over time? and how do I go about checking this out? I dont really want to give it to him again if its going to make him sick. Or have any of you guys had an experience like this and its turned out to be something else? I dont know, It was just so devastating to see him detiriorate (i cant spell today, sorry) so quickly within such a small space of time, yet so strange to have him bounce back again just as quick
