Finding the sperm donor combination that works for you is difficult... takes a lot of discussion and looking at the pro's and cons. We have used a known donor (friend) but know of others that have gone down the advertising path with both good and bad results.

After two years process we went with a advertise sperm. The donor doesn't have HEAPS of families he has helped. But you do need to careful with them. We interviewed (spoke to a number of men)And make sure you have a contract of sorts.

We have had friends and family offer, but we feel our relationship with them is too important to risk any potential problems or weird-ness.

We also felt this.



We are now thinking about donating my partner's egg to another family who need help to start their family in exchange for a semen donation form them.

We've "met" on another forum, but here's my official hello!

We met our donor through an online advertisement. We were very cautious, but have found someone great and very helpful.

First insem was yesterday, fingers crossed!
