Just some advice please girls. DS is 13.5 months and has been feeding happily for that time but in the last 3 days he has been refusing the breast, he just munches on it, or blows raspberries on my boobs and laughs. He hasn't been well so I don't know whether its because he is sick or because I'm pregnant again (14 weeks). Should I keep trying, or just bite the bullet and put him on formula/cows milk with his solids and grieve for the loss of my booby times (until no.2)

I had visions of tandem feeding two happy babies :crying::crying: I'm not ready to stop :hissy:

I would just keep persisting, I had a weird time at about 16 weeks pg (not refusal but I'm sure my supply dropped a little? and then bounced back again).

You do hear of toddlers self weaning during pregnancy but it's usually a little later (5 mth) and older in age (18 mth +)

My Ds has had about 4 periods of breast refusal tbh and it always comes good after a few days.

I would persist, my DD2 did this when i was pregnant too, but after a week or so she went back to boob with the enthusiasm she had previously, i think it is common if you are pregnant. (must be a hormonal taste or something just like AF, i always know when i am getting AF because bub refuses breast for a day)

Also may be a stage, my DD was doing it about a week ago (she is 14 months tomorrow) but i since noticed she has cut 2 molars, so i think that was the drama. She has fussed today aswell but another 2 molars are about to burst through.

Persistence will pay off :fingerscrossed:

My son did that at 14 months and was hit and miss with having the breast. Then one night I went to give him a quick feed before bedtime and he flat out refused and never had a drink from me again :crying:
