okay looking for some information here.

DP and I (okay technically he's my DF but you know how it is) are entertaining the idea of finally getting married after a very looooong 5 year engagement.

Now, we aren't looking for the big wedding at all. So, tossing up between just going to the Court House (not sure what that involves) or just getting one of those civil celebrant people (forgive me if I have gotten the title wrong... I mean someone who marries people but doesn't do the religion thing if that makes sense) and getting married like in the Hinterland or on the beach or a park or wherever (thats not important).

Can anyone tell me what I'm looking at cost wise?

Any information from anyone whose had either would be great.

TIA and I hope I made sense (I'm hoping I'm sort of having contractions so I could be muddled!!)

Wow - firstly, hope it is contractions :smiliedance: WOOHOO!!!

Secondly, all celebrants charge a different fee. Ours charged $400 but then there was $110 on top of that for the license. I did get quoted $650 by another one in town, plus the extra $110.

I'm not sure how much the court house wedding costs, you could call them on Monday and enquire if you like (provided you're not too busy cuddling the new addition :D)

(well yes the plan is to make her jealous by talking about something besides her not being here lol....)

Thank you for that. And I vaguely remember my friend mentioned you have to fill out some forms so many days in advance in order to do the whole thing.

Yeah you have to submit the paper work at least one month and one day before getting married.
