I just really need a vent right now! By no means do I mean to offend any real estate agent bubhubbers!
We have lived Toowoomba before and our experience with the agents (renting, buying and selling) was really good. They seem to be happy to help and quick and efficient at their job. Here in Brisbane however it seems that a good agent is hard to find!
When we were looking to buy a house here they were rude and unhelpful.

We havent been able to find 'our house' so we are continuing to rent for now. It is so hard to find a decent house here at a reasonable price!

We finally found a good house to rent and I put an application on it over a week ago. I know for a fact that we are the only application on it at this stage.
They have given valid excuses as to why its taken so long to approve (or not approve) but its getting beyond a joke! Im so unbelievably frustrated!! :banghead:
It wouldnt be so bad if there was another house we liked that we could apply for as well - but there's just nothing!

Its probably the pregnancy hormones but I really feel like I need to settle and get organised. I hate this not knowing stage.

Is there a good Real Estate or property managers on the south side of brissie that I might not have come across yet?

Thanks for letting me vent. I could just scream right now!!

I know what you mean- try working with them:eek: I worked for L.J.Hooker here in Brisi and I can understand what your saying.

On the application you have put in- remember its the OWNERS decision on who gets the property so the real estate cant give you ANY info until they know whats happening themselves- frustrating I know.

I cant think of any decent agents over the soouth side- I do know a few good ones here on the north side though....

congratulations on the house.

i have been looking around too this last few weeks thinking our lease was up in august but now that i have actually read the rental agreement i have found its not itl the end of september. bummer. i would be happy to stay if the stupid owners actually did maintanence to the house that they own.

i don't understand why they are letting their assest deteriorate. the house is nearly falling down. i know the fence is.

Join the club.... The outside of our house is much worse than the inside.. I dont really like having people over here because the outside looks like a couple of deros live here:(

I know what you mean! We have been looking in Redcliffe/Scarborough area and the Real Estates there have attitude. I think, there has been a total of 2 real estates who looked like they were actually willing to help!
One lady even waited til after all the other people had left inspecting the house and went through a huge list of rentals with us and even showed us some houses which she knew were comming up for rent in the near future... she was great! I wish all real estate agents were like her!!

Congrats on the house BTW!

Our lease isnt actually up until the end of October. But the lease ends the week our baby is due! There was no way I was moving that close to it. Not only that, the house will be unsuitable once we have another baby - we're just outgrowing it (iykwim).
So we are breaking our lease. The real estate agent we are currently renting with is happy for us to do this as long as we pay until someone else moves in. (and we'll get our bond back - thankfully!).

And I know what you mean about maintanance. The plumbing is constantly playing up here but they wont do anything about it!! :banghead:
