What to do about the milky crust on his lips? Is it best to just leave it, or an I put something on them or remove the crust? It's like the skin is peeling off and I'm worried it'll catch on something and rip off and hurt him.

DS got that. I think it was from his constant feeding. The skin kind of blisters bc they are sucking all the time. They are called milk blisters, google it.
It will clear up, don't worry about it.

Constant feeding sounds about right! I can't remember the last time I saw my breasts without DS attached to them!

Don't take the skin off or you might get germies in there... just rub a little breast milk over them and let them air dry as much as you can between feeds...
I am guessing you are also making sure he has a good connection when he is feeding so he is not 'chewing' on his own lips when feeding.... *not trying to tell you how to breastfeed at all or make you doubt yourself on this - just something to watch for tis all*

Thanks DR... Definitely no lip chewing going on during feeds... he has a good latch most of the time, although he's got an annoying habit of sucking air through his nose and swallowing it with the milk! Thankfully he's easy to burp though... I just have to pop him upright for a few seconds.

Well it sounds like he is just being a feeding champion and his lil sweet lips have to catch up! haha
*thinks of her babies feeding*
Brings back some lovely memories... enjoy your bubba :)
