Anyone experienced metallic taste?

Hi, my DH and I have been TTC # 1 for a few months now. I've been charting my temp and and this month started charting my CM. We BD'd on the two days prior to O and it has now been approx 7 days since O. The other day I had a metallic taste in my mouth and I have had a few lower stomach aches and have also had a bit of CM this week... could I be pregnant or am I just getting carried away? It's tough waiting another week to HPT!! :confused:

I had metallic taste in my mouth when preg with James. It was the first sign I was preg (it happened a good week or so before I got the bfp). I remember licking a cooking spoon and screwing my face up in disgust at the taste.

Metallic taste in your mouth can definately be a pregnancy symptom.

When are you due to test - I will be checking to see how you go :thumbsup:

Due to test next Wed which seems like forever! Was wondering if I was getting carried away as noticed the metallic taste one evening and the next day however havent since. We're TTC #1 and my husband is away 2 wks out of 3 so timing is tricky for us. Fingers crossed for BFP!

I'd forgotten about this until you mentioned it, but definately yes. I was obcessed with cleaning my teeth for the first few months because of it.

I remember having that with my first pregnancy - seriously felt like I was walking around sucking on a spoon! It lasted about 48hrs for me and was about 5-7 days before BFP.

Absolutely yes. I remember that was my first symptom and it lasted for ages - I drove my DH crazy with complaining about it.

Oh wow, really, now I am getting excited! (must try to contain myself just incase!) was a little unsure as it's now day 8 since O and have only experienced the metallic taste on one day however I have been experiencing a bit of CV this week and stomach aches.. could this also be a sign? From memory I cant remember CV the week prior to AP. Thanks SO much for your help, it's very confusing when you're new at this stuff!!

Well I'm not sure why I had the metallic taste because yesterday unfortunately I got my AF's.... back to the drawing board for me. Thanks for your help.

Thanks 2girls&1boy - not sure when I'll be trying again as my husband works away and isnt home this month when I'm ovulating. :( Oh well it will happen when it's meant to I guess.
