I need some help with choosing a new monitor. Our old one has died and we need to get a new one...BUT we need one of the types that stays on constantly and dosnt just cut in and out when there is noise. We live in a townhouse complex and there is alot of noise around and the other monitor we have is constantly clicking on and off and we dont get any sleep.

I would like to know the names of any monitors you ladies have that stay on constantly..... as in you can hear whats going on in the room all the time and not just when there is a noise.

Thanks in advance

I have the Angelcare Sound & Movement monitor.
It's pricey but fantastic. We used it with DD and now using it for DS as well.
It also has the option of setting off an alarm if it doesn't detect a heart beat for more than 20 seconds.

I love it. But then I also feel I owe my DD still being here to that monitor.

We also had the angelcare sound & movement monitor. We originally had the sound only monitor but I was going MENTAL with worry about ds and was up constantly checking so my husband went and purchased the sound & movement monitor and from then we never had to worry about him. Only had to make sure we turned it off when we picked him up from the cot so it didn't go off. It was the best thing we ever brought for baby (and myself!).

Another Angelcare sound and movement monitor here LOL :smiliedance:

I did have it on bubhub to sell, but we are thinking of ttc bub number 2 so I tink we will keep it as they are very pricey.

This isn't my thread but thought I'd wake it up again rather than start another!

I too am looking at purchasing a new monitor as the ones given to me don't work properly and I'm investigating what is the best one to buy. Any other suggestions at all?? :detective:

wow, I must be the only one who doesn't like the angecare monitor.

Each time the fan went on, it set the alarm off for some reason. I haven't used it once.

I have a video monitor but I don't think it will work well if theres a lot of interference.

Do you still have the Angel Care? Willing to part with it at all?

We have the Angel Care monitor aswell, that detects sound and movement. I love it. It puts my mind at ease. I just don't understand how a parent can not have it.

Sorry, I can't part with it as it was a gift from the inlaws who think we still use it, and we may use it when we stop co-sleeping anyway and DS is in his own room. Hopefully you can find one on ebay or something though!
