Hi there,
I am a first timer, on bub hub and preparing to be a mum. I am 35 and currently 17 weeks pregnant and due on the 4th of October 2009, fingers crossed!!
I think the support offered by all the mums and mums to be out there is outstanding, very supportive and inspiring. As my partner has to work away until 2 weeks before the birth date, I am currently feeling a little alone and stressed with all decisions falling on me. Apart from shocking morning sickness from week 6 til now all seems to be going well, though I do have some concerns.
I have to make a decision whether or not to have an amnio in the next week and am really confused. I am in the low risk category however, even though I am not a carrier, my sister was born with a rare genetic disorder, and everyone in my family is worried, causing me to stress even more. I would dearly love to hear from anyone out there, especially those who have opted to have an amniocentesis.
I look forward to your reply :)
