Has anyone had an older child with cradle cap and what did you do for it??
DD is 13mths old and i have noticed she has a bit of cradle cap on the top of her head. We only use baby shampoo on her and always shower her after she has been swimming. What can I do for it???

DS had it up until about a year ago. We tried a lot of different things to get rid of it and nothing did. Then because we didn't have a bath tub washing his hair become a major battle that I wasn't really willing to fight. We now rarely wash his hair and amazingly the cradle cap was gone. Others swear by the olive oil thing. You put it in and leave it over night then wash it all out.

Bit of olive oil rubbed in helps or you can buy cradle cap solution at the chemist which is basically olive oil and aspirin (salicyclic acid). My mum use to crush a aspirin in olive oil to make a paste and apparently that worked a treat.

my son is 2 and still gets it now and then.
i use baby oil,to me it works great, after a day of it being soaked in to the sculp it basically flakes off after wards,i use a fine tooth comb to brush it out of the hair.
