Urgent advice needed -can clomid change your cycle?

I have just finished my first clomid cycle (both my DS & DD are from clomid) since the birth of DD my cycle has gone from 34 days to 29 days (which I think is a good thing?) Anyway I am day 18 today and am having what I am sure is O pain but as I said I have a 29 day cycle so in theroy I should have O'd 3 days ago. Thought I had finished all the BD, but now I am wondering if we should have another go tonight? (dreading it cause I'm in pain) so what I wanted to know is can clomid change your cycle? Yes it's certainly possible your cycle has changed on clomid. Say you took it from day 5-9 then it's most likely you will ovulate closer to 10days after the last tab being day 19. Do you have other O symptoms such as EWCM or checking cervix position? You could grab a pack of OPK's from the supermarket or chemist and check that way too. You know your body best so if you feel it's O time, it likely is.

I found that clomid made me ovulate about 2 days later than I normally did.

Thanks for your info girls, I am now sure it must have been it so glad we did BD last night. Normall I use the ovulation kits everymonth and I had run out this month and basically the story is I went to the chemist to buy one but when I got there I realised that DH had taken my keycard out of my purse and I had no cash on me :hair::hair: so I couldnt really be bothered going out again (that was last Sunday week) and then of course I thought I was ovulating on Tuesday or Wednesday so I figured I was a bit too late to start on Monday as I may have already have had my surge. Oh well hopefully this one worked and I am thinking cause we did it on the day we have a higher chance of having a boy!! (I have found my DD so much fiestier than my DS and besides who can afford to pay for 2 weddings :laughing:). Thanks again.
