Older post.....

I really dont know where exactly I fit in so I thought I would write about where DH and I are at.

We have a beautiful daughter (2yrs and 4months old) and we were very fortunate to fall pregnant with her straight away on our honeymoon without even actively trying.

Though I am not taking it for granted that TTC will happen that quickly again.

We have decided to leave it one more month before TTC as I have a major exam on Thursday this week (and I should be studying now!!!) and will expect AF prob next weekend.

I want to leave it one more month and then start TTC. I have charted my AF for a long time now and average 26 - 28 day cycle.

I have been taking folic tablets for about 3 months but will go on Elevit soon because I found it excellent last time.

I am so excited and so ridiculously clucky at the moment. Everytime I see a newborn I just melt - so I think its time. WOOHOO!! :smiliedance:

We also think the age gap is perfect for our family. DD is a very independent, strong willed character, and I wanted her to be a little older before we try again as I think the transition will be better.

I am also working at home part time, my husband has a business that I help with too and we have just started building our first home.... so OMG my plate is more than full at the moment... but why not add a bit more too it huh?? ;)

Anyhoo, better get back to studying!!

All the best to all the ladies TTC at the moment!! I will be one of you soon :flowerz:

Hi Kay!

Welcome to the TTC club :)

I also have a 2 year old and I'm just starting my journey to TTC #2. I'm just like you - very clucky and very ready now :)

All the best!

Hi Kay

My DH and I will be finally ttv bub #2 this cycle. DH has been ready for a few months for another bub, but DS is a very strong willed, independant, full of beans 18 mth old and for the first yr of his life he has severe relux so it's taken me a while to feel ready to go again. DS was conceived on our 2nd cycle last time so we were very fortunate and , like you, don't believe that it will necessarily happen just as quick this time. Ideally we'd love to have a 2.5 - 3 yr gap but I guess we'll see! DH and I are also looking to sell our house some time this year and build our next so very exciting and busy times ahead! All the best on your ttc journey!

We've just decided to try for number 2 also and I'm both excited and scared (our daughter had terrible reflux for 2 years). I've been clucky for a while now - absolutely melt for cuddly little babies. But it took a lot longer for DH to feel ready. And I'm also studying which has been an added stress.

So happy to be starting the journey for number 2 finally. Our first happened along when we weren't actively trying but being older now I'm expecting it won't happen so easily this time round.

Good luck to everyone!

sparkly & punky ... ds had bad reflux and still has issues at times - it certainly works well as a contraceptive doesn't it? :D I'm living in hope that bub #2 doesn't have reflux of any kind! I wish the same for you!

Hi Ladies

Well I recently had an op so we have had TTC #2 on hold but i got the all clear from the doc today to start TTC at the end of May if we want to! :smiliedance:

So am just waiting for my AF now (she has gone missing this is CD41) and then hopefully she will come on time for May and then the next cycle after that we will be TTC!

So exciting! We are building a new house too and had a few dramas with that so hopefully TTC will be a lot smoother and quicker!

We have a 2 year old DD already who is just a delight! But she was a reflux baby too so hopefully next bub won't be!

Look forward to sharing the journey with you all!

Wow, I can't believe how many of us had reflux babies with number 1! Selfish, I know, but it makes me feel a little better knowing that others are (or have been) in the same boat and are giving it another go as well.

After all these years it feels a bit strange to be actively 'trying' again and I'm surprised to find I feel a bit of performance pressure!

Please add me on this list too. TTC #2 seems it will not be as easy as no 1. Never really tried for no1, she was a pleasant surprise. Now it's been 2 months since we are trying for #2. Have to say, already feeling a bit sad. Hate to see the BFN. I never thought I would feel depressed about not being able to conceive right away.

Hi all,

I'm going to be a bit behind you all, but had to post as I'm so exited and I have no one else to share it with! I go in for a knee op next week and as soon as I've fully recovered from that we are TTC # 2 :smiliedance:
I'm thinking around August if I can wait that long. DS is 18mnths and was a wonderful suprise. I've already started taking pre-conception tabs as well. I'm just so exited about the whole actively trying thing

Hi ladies,

Was hoping to join you! We've got a gorgeous DD, who turns 1 on the 28th of this month... my little baby is getting big. Sooo, better have another ;)

I'm on my last week of Pill this week. Will be 'avoiding' falling pregnant until mid-June, when I'm due to have my last cervical cancer vaccine, and hopefully get my cycle back into whack at the same time, then hopefully No.2 won't be far away :yelclap:

DD was a very pleasant surprise for us, so I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to actually 'trying' - so be prepared for some silly questions from me :o

Good luck to everyone! :babydust2:

Mrs Dolphin

Ems84 - Don't worry I will probably have some silly questions too as DD was conceived in only the second month of trying for us! So while we had decided to 'try' a bit of a surprise that it happened so quickly!

No such luck this time as yet...and the rate we are going at the moment it will never happen!

My specialist gave me the all clear last week to try for #2 at the end of May if we wanted to (after my op I had) but so far my AF is MIA for this month! I am CD45 today which is the longest I have ever been in my life without being pregnant!

Have done one HPT end of last week and a :bfn: which is what I thought considering DH and I haven't been BD due to my operation so it has left me wondering where IS my AF! If no show by her on Wednesday I might head to the doc to see what he thinks!

How is everyone else going? Who is actively trying now and who starts when - maybe we should start a list of which month everyone is starting to TTC?! :)

Ems84 and Mrs dolphin I will prob have silly questions also as DS was conceived 1st try.

Mrs Dolphin i'll be in on a list. My next AF is due 13th May and then we will be trying so fingers crossed for 1st time again.

your AF can be late due to stress, have you been streesing about things latley like TTC and the op? Have you lost weight recently or lacking in Iron. Hope AF arrives soon for you.

Good luck girls.:fingerscrossed:

splish n splash - yeah I am pretty stressed at the moment (we are building a house and it is having some major delays) but trying not to be! And I am thinking that the op may have sent my body totally out of whack!

I have never wanted AF to come so badly (strange hey!) but I do just so we can move on and get about TTC!

KayQ77

Hi girls, its been a while!! I did a quick update on the first page but if I have got it wrong please pm me and I will make adjustments (Im a newbie at this) :)
So glad that I am not the only one at this stage - and comforting that we can offer each other support while trying (especially since we all have so much going on with our first born and other things in life).

Mrs Dolphin, I know what you mean about delays, I was having a meltdown earlier today because of delays in building approvals, we are like 2 months late already!!

I guess Rome wasnt built in a day - I have to keep reminding myself of this haha.

My goal is to really try and keep my stress to a minimum and do exercise (I am very slack in that department). I jumped on the treadmill yesterday for about 20mins and it actually made me feel heaps better so I might even get on this arvie.... after I finish my kitkat ;)

daydreamer1 - all the very best with your operation, we will be thinking of you and fingers crossed for a speedy recovery!

ems84 - great to hear from you, this stage is so exciting!!!

tahm563 - I am actually concerned that if we dont fall straight away that I might get down about it too. I guess what ever will be will be and we all have each other to offer support in the meantime.

Anyway, I might tell hubby to book us a second honeymoon (seems that works) haha.

To all the other ladies, good luck and dont forget the folic xx

Hi girls,I didn't know where else to post.
DF and I did the deed in the heat of the moment on the last day of my period (day 7) which I thought should have been quite safe. I normally have a 28 day cycle but it has been known to be earlier 24/26 day every now and then. Anyway 3-4 days afterwards I got a lot of the fertile looking cervical mucous and felt like I was o'ing. This would be day 10/11 of my cycle. Do you think it's possible I could be pregnant?

I had an x-ray this morning on my knee and I go in for surgery on Thursday. We were waiting to TTC until after all this due to x-rays and recovery time etc. I told them there was a slight chance and they gave me an apron to wear. Now I'm stressing about the op I've been waiting for ages for this op.

Mum of Midgeys

Evening ladies :)

Well, I can tell you I will be very thankful to have someone to share my silly questions with! It all seems so complicated all of a sudden, when with DD it was just: 'there's a baby!'

Mrs Dolphin, I would think it would be a combination of stress and the op... your body goes through such a huge shock from surgery. Bit of a hoo-ha that she's keeping you waiting though! Maybe try a nice long hot bath and glass of bubbly to relax... easier said than done with a little one running around, I know!

Splish and Splash - not long for you now! Very exciting!

Kay - Thank you :) I should take a page from your book and do some of that exercise... I keep looking at the crosstrainer with the very very best of intentions though, if that counts. haha. The second honeymoon sounds like a fantastic idea... had a friend who just had a 2nd honeymoon in Mauritius (if only ) and is now preggers with No.2, so seems like the way to go!

Daydreamer - I guess it might be possible hun... stranger things have happened. When is the earliest you can do the test. I'm sure things with your surgery could be sorted.... maybe left just until the 2nd trimester when things are a bit safer? Perhaps phone ahead and ask.... they might be able to do bloods to find out for sure?... I'm not really sure how it works. Hope it all works out, one way or another :hugs:

Well, not too much to report here...3 days left on the pill, but trying not to get too excited about that as still a month to wait from then ;) Although DP is making that easier at the moment, being a bit of a dufus, lol. Ahh, the ups and downs of relationships, eh?

Hope everything is going well for everyone!

KayQ77 - Oh my goodness - we are soooo the same! We are 2 months behind in our building too! And our DD are about the same age! My DD was 2 years and 5 months yesterday - what month was your DD born? And the stress and exercise thing - yep same again! I can soooo relate to everything you said there! Guess we just have to take each day as it comes! :)

Ems84 - yeah I think you are so right too! The op was the first time I had gone under a general anesthetic so my body is probably like what the hell is going on here! Went to doc today and he did another preg test which was of course BFN so he said if it doesn't come in another 2 weeks he will send me for a ultrasound just to make sure all is ok!

Daydreamer1 - hope it all works ok for you with your op - I can relate to that too - whole time leading up to my op DH and I were being sooo careful!

So looking forward to chatting to you all about our TTC#2 journey - we all seem to be having a bit of a bumpy start so let's hope it only gets better from here on!

Thanks to KayQ77 for doing the list at the front! :yelclap:

Well I'm now officially in the 2ww. :) I'm pretty sure we missed ovulation though. Trying really hard not to get my hopes up as I know its really, really unlikely to happen first month we're actually trying.

Woohoo ems!!

Sparkly - have you seen that 'maybe baby' salvia ovulation tester? I bought one about six months ago to try it for a few months and I found it to work. Its a bit expensive though :(

Mrs Dolphin, haha wow, how similar our stories are!!! Miss Kya (our precious DD) was born 13/12/06. When was your little girl born?

All of a sudden she has just grown up so much, putting her own shoes on and going potty (well some of the time anyway - thats a whole other story!!). Can you believe how quick the time flies??

Oh and we got word that the builders will be starting on Wednesday WOO HOOO (**cartwheels through the air**). My hubby doesnt drink champange but he said we will be cracking open a bottle to celebrate this monumentous occasion (as its 2 years in the making).

Well the little princess has just woken up so I better go. All I can hear is MUMMY!! EAT!!! haha...

Hi ladies,

So nice to meet so many of you on the same boat. My AF is 3 days late, so decided to test. Got a faint positive line. Is this a BFP? I have been feeling the usual pregnancy symptoms, nausea, dizziness, tired etc. Should I wait and see? Or does a faint line mean BFP?

I am really nervous now.

How exciting!!!!

I just had my first full on week of TTC (everyday :o hehe) and I started cramping thursday and have been moody. Sore breasts have started today, so not sure if bubba no.2 has made itself at home or if it's just my imagination...

Will be testing in about a week and a half :D

How is everyone else going???

Exciting news Tahm! I always thought a positive was a positive regardless of how faint - fingers crossed for you.

I'm getting so impatient to start testing. Its taking all my willpower to resist testing early (I'm only 7 DPO so it'd be a total waste, but still...). Realistically I really don't think its going to happen this month, but I'm still impatient to know for sure. I hope I won't be so obsessed next month.

Maybe I should take a more expensive brand test.

Hi ladies, my first silly question.

My AF arrived at day 27 this cycle, so do I calculate ovulation on a 27 day cycle? with Ds we just did it for the week leading up to and on ovulation and got pregnant 1st time. My hubby is a shift worker and we sometimes go 2 days without seeing each other so need to know.

thanks girls.

KayQ77 - Oh wow we are similar! My DD was born 5/12/06! What state are you in - I am in WA?! Yep she has grown up very quickly in the past couple of months especially - does own shoes now and clothes and is toilet training and saying more words and sentences - I can't believe she is 2.5 next month!!! Arrrghh!! That is so great about your new house! :yelclap: I put in an email to our builders yesterday about when a start will be made but no word back from them yet - they aren't exactly big on customer service! Yay for the start - i hope by now it is underway!

Splish n splash - now don't quote me on this as I am still really learning too but I read somewhere that ovulation occurs 10 days before the AF arrives - so is 27 days your normal cycle length? If so just count back 10days and that *should* be the time of O?!?! Somebody can correct me if I am wrong!! Dunno if that helps you or not?!

SweetSerenity - so you are in the TWW now are you? Anymore signs?! :babydust2: to you!

Tahm563 - Maybe head off to the docs for a blood test - good luck with it and let us know how you go!

To anyone else - how you all going?

Well I am STILL waiting for AF! I am thinking maybe she will just skip a month and come back as per normal for next month - which if that is the case she would be due again in about 10 days time give or take a couple of days so time will tell I guess! I am not sure but I had some CM like O today which would make sense too so :fingerscrossed: AF does return so we can get on with TTC!

Hi ladies, DH & I have just started this month trying for #2 :) Am currently in the TTW. This is a pretty big step for as as DH was diagnosed with CML a type of Leukaemia 6 weeks after DD was born and we weren't sure if #2 was a possibility. Did a blood test today and the results came back. It's a :bfp: yeay. HCG level is ok, everything is fine. I am really happy.

I have no nausea so far touch wood. With DD, I was literally in bed from 5 weeks with nausea. I pray it stays the way it is now. It feels so surreal.

I hope all the ladies who are trying get a :bfp:soon.

Congratulations Tahm563! :yelclap: Wonderful news - all the best for the coming months!

Welcome Havealaugh!

Well I still don't know what is happening with me so if any of you lovely ladies could maybe shed some light for me I would be very grateful!

I am now on CD59 and STILL no AF! I was convinced I was not pregnant due to me having my op and everything but last couple of mornings and especially this morning I have woken up feeling quite queasy. Now I know there could be other reasons for this but it feels almost exactly how I had MS with DD. With her I never was actually sick but felt queasy if I didn't eat regularly. I woke up at 6am this morning feeling this way and so got up and grabbed 2 Milk Arrowroot biscuits and ate and feel slightly better now! So then it got me thinking and I had a play with the due date calculators and if I WAS pregnant I would only be 7weeks - so the queasiness would make sense! The last HPT I took was 2 weeks ago this Wednesday done by my doctor which was a BFN but I know it is possible to get a negative up to 7 or 8 weeks plus!

So despite my operation I had I guess I could still be UTD! I am trying to rack my brains of last time we DTD before my op and know it was a few days before but can't be sure! If I am pregnant then it would have all probably (I'm guessing!) happened around same time as op so general anaesthetic (sp?) should not or may not have affected anything because it would have been way to early!

So yeah I don't know! Have also had a lot of CM (sorry if TMI!) and feeling bit tired in the afternoons but maybe I am reading too much into it!

I might head out and get another HPT today and am seeing the doc this Wednesday anyway.

But what do all you ladies think?

(Trying not to get my hopes up and it is probably just a bit of a tummy bug or something!)

Hi everyone, I'm TTC #2. I'm 29 and DH is 33 and DD is 14 months. DH has been keen for a second baby as soon as we got home from hospital with DD (scary I know). But since the end of 2008 he's been particularly keen. I've been wanting to wait and start our TTC until April so that we'd have a 2010 baby. Now into my 2nd cycle, 1st cycle was hopeless as DH was really sick. CD9 so lots of loving planned for the w'end and fingers crossed for a BFP. First time took 5 months so I'm hoping that happens a bit quicker this time.

Fingers crossed for a positive next month.

DP & I are currently TTC #2! DD is 5, and I feel really ready for no.2 so here's hoping! But we've both agreed that if I don't fall preggas by the end of the year then no more trying.

Hi there! My DS is 5 in december, so I know what you mean about feeling ready for no.2

All the best!

Just wanted to wish you lots luck with your BFP!

We'll see what next month brings.

How is everyone else?

:hugs: Mrs Dolphin and Sweet Serenity.... hope next month brings with it a :bfp: for you both!

Mrs Dolphin, could the Dr shed any light on where AF has packed up to?

Not much here... should be ovulating in the next couple of days, and I'm trying my hardest not to jump DP (as we're trying not to conceive this month as I have to get my last cervial cancer vaccine in a couple of weeks) Very hard though. 3 of the Mum's in my Mother's Group are preggers now, so I'm getting very clucky

Hope everyone is doing well :babydust2:

Sweetserenity :hugs: for you that this month wasn't your month - hope next month is better.

knb79 - welcome to our little thread. I hope your journey for #2 is smoother and shorter for you. Look forward to chatting :)

ems84 - Yep know how hard it is NOT to get pregnant for something like that! Me and Dh were like that before my op! Hope the time goes quick for you and you can be TTC again very soon!

Well for me...I went to doc on Wednesday and he is sending me for an ultrasound of the pelvis just to make sure everything is ok in there as I have had endometriosis and he wants to make sure that is not causing problems. So hopefully ultrasound is all clear but if it is not sure where to from here! I have scan on Monday morning. My next AF would be roughly due again early next week so I am really really hoping that it has just skipped a month and comes as normal this month :fingerscrossed: I have never wanted AF to come so badly before

I was just thinking about it all and saw a pic of a pregnant lady and just realised how badly I DO want to be pregnant again and experience it all again. I am so so scared that I will not get that second chance. Just have to keep positive i guess.

Hope everyone else is going ok - wonder who will be the first to get their :bfp: out of us!

Enjoy the weekend :flowerz:

Hi everyone, thought I would join in this thread!

DH & I have been trying for #2 since last year. I had a miscarriage last September at 10 weeks, took a while to get over and we started TTC again in January.

Just had a really disappointing month this month, got some faint BFPs and it was all looking good.....then AF turned up today 4 days late :crying: So I am never going to trust a faint line on a pregnancy test ever again.

Hello ladies, haven't been in here in a while, welcome mumtotom, my little boy was also born in June 2006.

This is our first month of TTC and I am now on the 2 week wait, fingers crossed but we didn't bd as much as we should have as DH was working shift work and I didn't see him as much.

Mrs Dolphine hope you u/s went ok and your AF shows up this time.

tahm563 I hope you still have no morning sickness, I had it for 39 weeks with DS, that is another reason why I h ave waited do long to TTC, but I read somewhere that mothers with bad morning sickness have kids with higher IQ's don't know how true it is.

Good luck ladies,

knb79 - Welcome! Sounds like you definately deserve an easy time of it this time round - have my :fingerscrossed: for you. I'm sure there are a few threads about for people in a similar situation to you with regards to the weight. Or you could just start up a new one, and I'm sure you'll find lots of lovely ladies to support you

Mrs Dolphin - Hope the US goes well hun and is all clear. And that AF come by for a visit soon!

Mumtotom - Welcome! AF might not have been a bit of spotting, might it? I would have thought (and I'm by no means any authority on the subject) that if you got a few faint BFP's, that you would have to have some PG hormones going on? All the best to you either way - hope you get a big dark BFP soon!

Splish n Splash - Oh my gosh, 39weeks of MS, you poor thing! I had it for 6months, and i thought that was nasty! Best of luck for your TWW :fingerscrossed:

Well, DP and I were a bit irresponsible last night and DTD... right around when I guess I would be O.... AF is due before I'm due to get the vaccination, so will be able to cancel it if I need. Ah well, if it's meant to be, it's mean to be, right? So... guess that means I'm in the TWW? (Don't think DP has thought of it like this yet, haha)

Hope everyone is doing well..

Hi ladies, DH & I have just started this month trying for #2 :) Am currently in the TTW. This is a pretty big step for as as DH was diagnosed with CML a type of Leukaemia 6 weeks after DD was born and we weren't sure if #2 was a possibility. Anyway I hope you don't mind me joining in on your thread. Baby dust to all.

Second time posting in here, that was my last post. I POAS and I got a :bfn: 2 days ago and AF showed up this morning. I am so disappointed. Congrats to those who have got a :bfp: and :hugs: to those with :bfn: Good luck next month.

bnbng - oh :hugs:...so sorry to hear that nasty AF turned up...hope you have better luck next month.

splish n splash - good luck for this month :fingerscrossed: sending you lots of :babydust2:

mumtotom - :hugs: That is not fair about the BFP not being a BFP. All the best for the next month. :babydust2: to you too.

Ems84 - oh no! Yes I am a stronger believer in what is meant to be - you never know this might be your month! Look forward to hearing!

How is everyone else going?

Well not great news for me I am afraid. Had my ultrasound yesterday morning and went to doc in arvo and he thinks I have PCOS. It does all make sense and so I had some blood tests today and back to doc next week to discuss options if PCOS is confirmed. Options are do nothing and lose weight (I am a bit over weight but not hugely so), lose weight and go back on pill for 3 or 4 months then see if it is corrected itself (and lose weight) or go to a specialist for ovulation stimulating if we want a baby soon. I am not sure which way to go but we (DH and 1) are leaning towards specialist option at the moment. Does anybody have any info or experiences to share on this please?

So am trying to stay positive but it is hard!

Hope everyone is having a better week.

Okay, my first silly question, for those who are familiar with temping...

I've been temping just this cycle (just a cheap thermometer from the chemist), and temps have been sitting around 35.6-8. Then, when I assumed I was O, as it was day 13/14, it went up to 36.1-2. Since then though it's stayed at those higher temps  I'm now day 17 through my cycle. When is it meant to go back down?

Does this mean it wasn't neccessarily O? (CM did seem to match the higher temps at the time) Or just maybe a dodgey thermometer?

Thanks for any light anyone can shed on the subject :)

Im not too sure on the temping thing, I decided to just do my temp this cycle and it was around 37.2 then day 14/15/16 it was up at 37.8 I thought It was spose to peak for ovulation then drop back down.

your temps are low or are my high???

Mum of Midgeys
27-05-2009, 19:36
yeah, I thought it dropped back down too.... but the quick google I did seemed to suggest it stays up until AF arrives? My friend never mentioned that to me when she was explaining how to temp

I think my thermometer reads low temps. DP's was low as well as I thought mine seemed a bit too low, lol. I need to buy a decent one.

Thanks Ems84 for the temp info. How is your 2 week wait going? I thought it was going to take forever but the day's are flying by for me. I will prob start to test from wed/thurs I think I pot a positive test with DS 4 days before AF was due. what about you?

How is everyone else going this week?

Hope everyone is well.

Splish N Splash - will be thinking of you on Wed/Thurs then and wishing you lots of baby dust! :babydust2: The TWW is going fairly quick for me - it was my little girl's 1st birthday on Thursday, so had the inlaws up, and then Khirra's birthday party on Sat... so has kept me busy.

There's a few things that feels a bit funny... but then it could well just be my mind creating these things  How is your temping going though? Mine was sitting around that 36.1/2 mark, then dropped for the past two days to 35.9/36,, then this morning was up to 36.4  So I dunno if I'm just waking up colder some mornings or what. Again, dodgey thermometer.

Sorry, big :ecomcity:

Hi Ladies, well AF arrived today, I am slightly upset only because DS was conceived 1st Month and I just thought it would happen again but due to hubby's shift work this time around I think it might not be as easy. We didn't bd on ovulation beacuse he started work at 3pm and I was at work all day so I guess we missed it. Next ovulation is the same so not being so hopeful for next time too.

My temps are still high which is a bit of a worry, I showed the midwife at work and she said yes they are too high, my body might be trying to fight off an infection or something, both DS and DH have both been sick over the last 3 weeks plus working in medical doesn't help. Temp was 37.2 today so will keep track of it. I haven't got previous months to compare with though as I haven't temped before so maybe 37's are normal for me.

Hope everyone is well.

Brooke hope the 2 week wait goes fast for you and you can come out with a :bfp:

Ems84 fingers crossed for your :bfp: too you must be testing soon?

Hey Splish N Splash - sorry to hear AF came today hun :hugs: Lots of :babydust2: that next month is your month. I totally understand what you mean about being disappointed even though it's only the first month... I concieved DD on the Pill (taking antibiotics) so my irrational brain half assuming it will be just as easy again. I know in reality that's not the case, but I know it's what I'm thinking.

Bnbng - hope you caught that egg hun :fingerscrossed:

Mrs Dolphin - how are you going hun?

And everyone else?

Dunno about getting a :bfp: - trying not to get my hopes up, but AF isn't here yet, and I was sort of expecting it this weekend, going by when I think I ovulated, But's it's only day 28, so I might have a longer cycle - I have no idea yet. We'll see.....

Haven't been in here or a while, flat out with work as usual!

So you know last month it didn't happen, I'm in my ovulaton period at the moment (I think) but have been so tired lately and we haven't been bd'ing much this week. So we'll see what happens.

Hope you catch the egg nat.

Ems84 keep us informed.

Well I did some searching yesterday and realised by cycle is only 26 days. I always thought 27/28 but now found out 26 so ovulation for me is around day 12 of cycle, this would kinda make sence. when we tried for DS we just bd from end of af till 4 days after day 14 so we were lucky and caught the egg, when DS was born the midwife asked if he was overdue cause he already had the old man wrinkle skin, but he was a day early but if I did ovulate on day 12 then he would have been a few days late. Is that right does anyone know?

So knowing now that i might ovulate around day 12 we are just going to bd from when AF finishes. Dh will just have to wake me at midnight when he finishes his night shift :(

Good luck everyone

check with the nurse or doc, I believe you have to wait one complete cycle with the cervical cancer vax and with whooping cough on doc said was ok then when I was about to get it the nurse and another doc in the room said it's best to wait 3-6 months before TTC, it's not a live vax but there is not enough research on it yet regarding TTC no reported abnormalities though. I decided not to get it and the doc and nurse said it's best to just wait untill after bub's is born.

check it out with your GP though, everyone suggests something different.

Well for me...not great news. Not sure if I posted it here or not but my AF still has not shown up and it is now CD81 without an AF and NOT pregnant (how I WISH it was that). So after a scan and some blood tests by GP which shows borderline PCOS I am now booked in to a specialist on the 30 June to see what he thinks and where to from here. I am pretty upset by it all and am feeling quite blah from not getting AF so have started taking some evening primrose oil tablets and vitamins to try and even things out until see specialist. I never thought this would happen and feeling quite over whelmed by it all. So even though DH and I want another baby my body is stopping us. It is just not fair how some others fall so easily and some of us have to fight for it.

I have a very good friend who's 34, been trying for #1 for quite some time, and it just hasn't happened yet. I haven't even been able to tell her we're trying for our second yet, as I know it would be hard for her, and I just don't want to be the one to kick her while she's down, so to speak. :( But she is a beautiful, deserving person, and you sound much the same, and you will get your bundle, sooner or later!!

Bnbng - 2 is just a gorgeous age, isn't it? I worked in CC before DD, and my last lot were 2 year olds. Watching their little personalities just evolve so quickly is just awesome. Hope the TWW passes quickly for you and brings a little something with it!

Well, took DD to the Dr today (nasty nappy rash...apparently from thrush ) and just asked if it was normal to have longer cycles after the pill. Explained the goings-on and he just gave me a little smile and said test in a week or two. Well, that doesn't help me, lol. So still just waiting for AF...

:wave:Hi Ladies

Mind if I join? We have a 7 year old daughter and we have been ttc #2 for nearly 3 years. We have decided it's now time to try AIH (artificial insemination using husband's sperm - sorry TMI). I have an appt with doc next thursday to get referral to IVF etc. For the past 2 years we've had all the testing done, to come to the conclusion that we have unexplained secondary infertility:confused:. Until the AIH happens we will be ttc naturally hoping that it will happen;). AF is due on 9th July so I guess I'll be testing around then.

:smiliedance:Congrats ems84!! That is great news.

Did a test again this morning, still faint, but there all the same. :yelclap: Will be holding off going to the Dr as my Aunty is the receptionist there, and I don't want her finding out before my parents, etc.

At least the dry-retching (noooo - not MS again :hissy:), bloated belly and tingling nipples wasn't a product of my imagination... I was beginning to wonder :p

Will be checking in to see how you girls in the TWW go, and Mrs Dolphin can't wait until you get the go ahead to go again :hugs: Mamacaz - welcome and have my fingers crossed that you'll fall naturally very soon.

Thanks girls for all the hugs and support - they really do mean alot

Sweetserenity - I am seeing the specialist on the 30 June so in a couple of weeks time. Good luck for the TWW you may be surprised!!

lozzaa - welcome  Look forward to chatting with you!

mamacaz - Welcome too Thanks for your encouragement - yes trying my best to stay positive! Hope you have some success soon too :hugs: Look forward to chatting to you too!

ems84 - sounds pretty good to me - but can understand you waiting to see the doc! How far along would you be? So exciting! :flowerz:

splish n splash - a new cycle to try again! :babydust2: to you!

Well not much to report here...still no AF!!! Think she has packed her bags for good! But trying to stay positive and am looking forward to seeing the specialist at the end of the month to see what he says. THe vitamins and evening primrose oil tablets I am taking seem to be helping which is good.

Have a great week everyone and hope to see more :bfp: very soon!

Sorry just feeling a bit sorry for myself atm..

:hugs: hope everything goes well at the specialiat on the 30th. At least you are now starting to get some answers and can hopefully get some help and start a new journey of TTC. keep us informed

No news from me...just in TTW. I don't think I am pregnant though as I had such a busy time with work and we didn't bd that much, but will wait and see.

:fingerscrossed:for you hope the TTW goes quick when do you test?

:wave:Hi Ladies

Mind if I join? We have a 7 year old daughter and we have been ttc #2 for nearly 3 years. We have decided it's now time to try AIH (artificial insemination using husband's sperm - sorry TMI). I have an appt with doc next thursday to get referral to IVF etc. For the past 2 years we've had all the testing done, to come to the conclusion that we have unexplained secondary infertility. Until the AIH happens we will be ttc naturally hoping that it will happen. AF is due on 9th July so I guess I'll be testing around then.

 hope you conceive naturally before the AIH. have you tried things like acupunture and other natural things?

good luck, keep us posted.

Hi ladies I would like to join this thread.

Just finished my m/c and some people may think it's too soon but I would like DD (nearly 13 months) to be a big sister before she is 2 (wishful thinking ) Plus, I am not the youngest chicken around (32) not the oldest either but I definitely want another 2 at least and know my eggs won't be good forever

 welcome to the thread

good luck to everyone.

Ems how are you feeling, have you still got a faint positive.

AF finshed and I should O on friday but I have a feeling it might be earlier for some reason.
I hope this post is correct as it's a lot of quotes.

:wave:Hi Ladies

Lozzaaa - :shakehands: Welcome! It's never too soon to start trying again. The sooner the better;). Hoping that your journey is short and sweet, but you can stick around and talk to these lovely ladies as long as you want ;).

Splish n Splash - The only natural thing that we have tried is going to a chiropractor. I've heard good results from women falling pregnant after seeing a chiropractor.....although I have been going to a chiropractor since August 2008 and still nothing has happened except for me feeling better within myself. I've also heard good results with acupuncture/herbs etc but we are at the stage where we've been ttc #2 for 3 years and we don't want to waste anymore time. We are positive that this will work (I don't know why but we just are) plus my BIL and his wife did AIH with both pregnancies and all turned out fine. I will definately keep you all posted.

Mrs Dolphin - :fingerscrossed:Good luck with seeing the specialist at the end of the month. Just another step closer.......

Ems84 - Anymore news????

Hi everyone

ems84- :smiliedance: What wonderful news!!! Congratulations on the BFP.

SweetSerenity- Hello, How's the TTW going for you? I am getting a little impatient testing wise!

mamacaz- Thank you for the well wishes, you sound like you have had such a terrible time TTC, you poor thing- Big hugs. I hope you get an appointment ASAP or better still a BFP!!! I worry that because of the drugs my husband takes to control his Leukaemia that we will has problems but I really hope this is not the case. Jumping far to ahead of myself thinking about that though, this is only our second month trying.

Lozzaaa- Welcome! Only you know when your ready so go with what your heart tells you. Best of luck and I'm very sorry about your loss :hugs:

Mrs Dolphin- Best of luck with your appointment, hope you get some answers and some help.

No news from me, think I am on CD23 so I might try testing Thurs or Fri. Getting nervous, silly how quickly this TTC business has consumed my brain!

Lots of baby dust to everyone :babydust2:

Hey ladies,

Yep, have done two more tests, and definately a BFP :smiliedance: So I'm 5 weeks now. Belly's popped already, which I'm really not thrilled about, LOL, it took me until about 3 months to show with Khirra... sigh.. stomach muscles aren't what they used to be  MS is digging it's heels in a bit, but just dry-retching atm, so I can handle that. Think I'd feel nervous if I didn't feel sick... silly thoughts.

Lozzaaa - Welcome hun and best of luck and lots of :hugs:. I hope the next one comes quickly and with plenty of stick!

Mrs Dolphin - Glad to hear the tablets seems to be helping. Counting down to the 30th with you :goodvibes:

Splish n Splash - Lots of BD for you coming up! Best of luck!

Bnbng - It really does consume you, it's terrible. I have my fingers crossed for you...and remember (as I have found out, hehe) don't get disappointed if it's not a BFP in the early tests - I didn't get my faint one until 4 days after AF was due. Didn't find out I was PG with Khirra until I was 6weeks (unplanned) so not sure if that one would have been late to show too...

Thinking of you all and sending lots and lots of baby dust :babydust2:

Hi ladies

Well today I rang IVF to make an appointment and I've got an appointment this Friday!! A day before my birthday! I nearly fell off the chair! I was expecting to wait atleast 2 months to get in to see someone! Now I'm starting to get a little nervous and excited.....:D

AF has finished so now I'm just waiting to 'O', which should be happening around 23rd:confused:.

ems84 - :smiliedance: I'm so happy for you. 5 weeks!! That's awesome! You must be sooooo happy. If you don't mind me asking, how long did it take for you to fall pregnant? Keep us posted!!

Lots and lots and lots of :babydust2: to everyone. Good luck ladies......

What fantastic news Mamacaz - how exciting! :yelclap: Be sure to tell us know how it goes on Friday! Hopefully you won't need it though after the 23rd ;) (And happy birthday for Saturday!)

I hate to say it when there are so many of you beautiful ladies out there having a longer journey TCC  but I only just went off the Pill the 2 weeks before I fell. So we're very, very lucky. :o But yes, very happy... albeit a little nervous at the 21month age gap, lol.

Thanks for the birthday wishes ems84! I'm not looking forward to turning 35 but what can you do. Although I am looking forward to going into Sydney to go to a restaurant that makes the best pancakes:D.

Don't be ashamed in saying that you fell pregnant on your first try. We are so happy for anyone falling pregnant, no matter how long or short it takes them. I am envious though:).

I have to cancel my appt with IVF on Friday coz my husband can't get that time off work then. I'll keep you posted for when my next appt is scheduled for.

Ladies, your wishes have been granted and you're all pregnant :wizard::babydust2: Have a lovely day......

Sorry have to get this off my chest...

:crying: Well I POAS this morning and got another BFN. I know its early to test, stoopid me, so all hope is definitely not lost and I shouldn't be upset BUT I really have this feeling we are going to take a while to get pregnant. When hubby was first diagnosed, we asked his specialist if we should bank some sperm and he brushed it off saying it wasn't necessery. I had a feeling we still should but they were in such a rush to get DH started on the drugs we didn't really have time to think- I think it was only about 2 days between diagnosis and commencement of treatment and about 20 mins speaking to the specialist. Anyway I don't know if it is a issue or if it's just playing on my mind but since we fell 1st month with DD I can't help freaking out. DH is just brushing it off, saying that he'll just go get his sperm tested and if there is a problem he'll just go off his med's, but it's really not that simple. Some people who have CML can go off there med's at a certain point but because for DH's age (very young to get CML) and how high his levels were at diagnosis they aren't optimistic he'll get to that stage, even have told him he'll never get to the 'Remission' stage, so for him to go completely off the drugs to try and get his sperm healthy would be a huge step backwards for him.

Sorry everyone, as you can see, I keep playing the what if game in my head, which I know isn't helping but I can't seem to stop. I am my own worst enemy :crying:

Anyway... ems84- so happy for your :bfp: 's. As mamacaz said, don't feel bad! Celebrate!

mamacaz- Bugger about your appointment, hopefully they will be able to get you in soon. :fingerscrossed: Happy Birthday for saturday, Mmmmm Pancakes sound so nice!

Hope everyone is well- hope to hear some pregnancy news soon!

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: Brooke.......

I am so sorry for what you're going through. You have every right to vent and if you need to cry, then do it. Do whatever it takes to make you feel better. Sometimes you may even get the answer you're after after a good sob. I would get more advice or research, even if it's through another specialist. It sounds as though your husband will have to be very careful with the decisions he makes about his meds. It also seems as though you both haven't been given all the info that you need. If you don't mind me asking, when did you start ttc #2? Chin up......

Thanks for your birthday wishes. The pancakes are devine! If you're ever in The Rocks/Sydney, go to Pancakes at The Rocks.......YUM!

Well I've made another appt with IVF for Friday, 3rd July. It's only 2 weeks away and let's hope we can make it to this one......

Mumacaz - Bugger about your DH having to get a referral! I guess it makes sense, but you just wouldn't think of it, would you? Glad your birthday was good! Might have to ask DP to take me to that Pancake place when we visit his family in Sydney later this year!

Hoo-hoo, Splish N Splash! :D Sounds like good signs to me! I swore I was talking myself into symptoms so soon after O... tingly/enlarged nipples... was literally dry-retching like 5 days after, maybe not even that long... bloated belly, and yes - strangely thristy!. Oooh, you have me all excited for you!! :yelclap: Have my fingers and toes crossed for you hun - hope the TWW passes like it's two days!

I'm doing well... not a nauseus as I was with DD, which is making me a little nervous. Will book in at the Dr tomorrow, get the ball rolling. Told my Dad and his GF today - Dad's betting on another girl, lol. Mum and my StepDad get back from their roadtrip tomorrow, so will tell them then too. Just anxious to get to the 12 week scan really!

Hi everyone,

Sorry to be missing for a few days! I am waiting for AF to show up and she just won't. I'm only 2 days late. It's tormenting me, I keep thinking, well maybe I am pregnant but I have tested and apparently not. I'm just no good at this TTC thing. Anyway enough about me-

mamacaz- bum about your hubby needing the seperate referral, seems a little silly, its all about the money  Glad you had a lovely birthday! I think I might have to have some pancakes now! We are off to the city in a few weeks to see Pink so we might do it before the concert! We have only been trying for a couple of months, I am just impatient and am getting a little consumed in the what ifs, which I just have to relax about, I think thats why AF is taking her sweet time!

Sweet Serenity- :hugs: about your :bfn: Best of luck for next month!!! and yes all is well, thanks for asking :goodvibes:

ems84- thank you for the hugs! even though I think I just need to pull my head back into line! I need a chill pill LOL. Hope the next few weeks fly past for you!

splish n splash - sorry not sure hun - hope you doing ok though!

Ems84 - hope the MS stays away for you! How long to you have your scan? How exciting :goodvibes:

MamaCaz - Yes same thing happened to me with the referral to the FS - I had to go back to my GP to have DH name added onto the referral as we both get charged and then we can claim back from medicare. Hope you are well.

Hope anyone else is going ok - hope I haven't forgotten anyone!

Well for me...AF decided to turn up out of the blue on Sunday! After 92 odd days she just turned up! No pain which is strange for me but definitely her! Oh well at least I know she hasn't gone forever! Our fertility specialist appointment is next Tuesday so we'll see what he has to say!

Bye for now

Hi everyone

My DD is 18 months and we had a miscarriage in January. DH was deeply hurt but has finally agreed to try again! I am SOOO excited but a little scared at the same time. It would be awful to go through it again. I really wanted 2 close together but I guess if we fall soon it won't be too much of a gap. I have a genetic balanced translocation in my blood which gives us a higher risk of having a miscarriage but we're willing to give it another go.

Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Good luck to all of you waiting to test

Hey ladies,

MummytoThomas - I really hope O showed up hun. Excuse my ignorance, but what will the clomid involve? :fingerscrossed: nature kicks in :hugs:

Bnbng - Any sign of AF yet hun? I'd convinced myself I wasn't as my tests said no until a very faint yes 4 days past AF was due. (For comparison, as I didn't find out with DD until I was 6 weeks, I did a test a couple of days ago to see if it came up like it did with her; quick, big, fat line - and it did :p Which makes me think I might always have to wait to finally get a bfp line when testing.) Hopefully AF is staying away for you for a reason too! Keep us posted!!

Splish N Splash - From my very limited understanding, your temp rises a little immediately after O and stays around the higher temp until AF arrives. I've also heard that it can jump higher again if pregnant - which mine seemed to; fluke perhaps. (but of course it jumping again wouldn't mean you are or aren't for some) Re: the eggwhite CM... I had some with a bit of blood about 6 days past O, which made me think I'd missed O and thought it was too early too... think it was implantation bleed in hindsight?

Mrs Dolphin - Yay for AF! That's positive news, right? Good luck for the appt on Tuesday hun - keep us up to date xo

Kyles and Kenoe - welcome! Hope your stay here is a short but lovely one. :babydust2:

My MS is still not to bad, Mrs Dolphin... which is great, but still making me nervous. I think my symptoms are just different this time round (yay, lol) Will be going to see my Dr tomorrow and get all the refferals, etc. :)

Have a great week girls xo

As for me.......I'm on cd16 and am pretty sure that I o'd yesterday but just waiting for Fertility Friend to confirm this. So I'm now in the 2ww.

Plus, I now have to cancel my appt with IVF coz we have a funeral to go to that same day:hair:. I don't mean to sound insensitive but this is the 3rd time we've had to reschedule. Atleast it will give my DH extra time to get his referral for IVF. The doc wouldn't put his name on the same referral coz DH wasn't with me. It's starting to sound as though "someone" doesn't want us to go to IVF:rolleyes:. I feel confident this month that I will fall pregnant. Don't know why, I just do.....

Clomid is a fertlity drug that helps you ovulate. I will be taking it cd2-6 and then will be having a scan to see if i've got any follicles and then probably a blood test on cd21 to confirm ovulation.

Mrs Dolphin :smiliedance:AF turning up must be soo exciting for you.

Mamacaz thatnks for the info from fertility friedn I will go and have a look. hope the 2ww goes fast for you.

My temp is still high. I have been told I have low Iron, Folate and Vit D levels. I have been taking Folate for 4 months but now have to take 5000mcg. Also low vit D can cause fertility problems. I had bad nausea today and yesterday. I asked the doc that I work with today If I could be the extra folate and he said no I could be preg so :fingerscrossed: I will test early next week. Low Vit D can also cause miscarraage though so I will be scared if we are but at least I can now get my levels back up and wait another month or 2 to TTC again if we not preg.

mummy to thomas hope your DH feels ok to have a try.

Splish n Splash - good luck for testing next week! It's good you found out now that you are low in vit D, folate and iron (I'm also low in iron and on iron tabs) so you can take the vitamins to correct it. I read somewhere too much folate is bad for the baby when you are pregnant too.

Mrs Dolphin - good luck with the fertility specialist.

Mrs Dophin- Good Luck at your appointment, glad AF finally showed up for you.

ems84- your post gives me some hope but at the same time I guess I am not feeling too positive about it, am very hopeful but my brain is telling me to let it go, that I'm not pregnant. Stupid brain, wish it would stop thinking for a while! :( Hope your feeling good!

Mamacaz I really hope this is your month too! Bum about you appointment but by the sounds of it you wont be needing it!!! Hope the TTW goes quickly for you. :babydust2:

Hello to everyone else, welcome to the new pep's. Sorry for being absent and for the shocking personals! I have been at my parents for a few days. I still hadn't got AF on Tues so I thought I'd test again Wed morning. I got a faint positive 3 days after AF was due. I re tested this morning to see if the line had gotten any darker and it'd as faint if not fainter. I'm have no experience in this, does this mean it wasn't sticky?

Bnbng - hehe... always read your name as 'bangbang' no idea why
You got a BFP??? Hun, a line is a line is a line!! I used my second test (pack of 3) 2 days after my first BFP (so the second test was 6days after AF was due and it was still very, very faint. I only just got a good dark one using the 3rd test at the beginning of this week! I don't think the fact that's it's still faint means that it's anyless sticky. Maybe it was just that particular test, maybe you just had a little less HCG in your urine then due to more fluids, or time of day, etc, etc?? I think, my dear, a great big Congrats is in order! :smiliedance: :D I'm sooo, so excited for you! Hope everything goes well :hugs: Keep us posted!

JoJoMart - Welcome hun, and have fun BDing ;) Lots of babydust!

Kenoe - Best of luck for you this month too hun!

Splish N Splash - You poor thing, hope you start feeling better once your levels get sorted out. And sounds very promising hun!!!! Fingers and toes are crossed for you!!

Mummytothomas - Hope it was O for you the other day (and you got DH off his sick bed, and into another one, so to speak, haha)

Mamacaz - Poo about your appointment again! Must be so frustrating. But I definately like the feeling you've got! Nothing like a gut instinct, I reckon

All is well here... gots bloods and things done today. I'm now 6 and a half weeks - clocks over every Monday. So will go back to the Dr to get the referral for the ultrasound (woohoo) and see if I can get into the hospital I want (I live North of Brisbane and the hospital's on the Southside) So the wheels are in motion.

Lots of babydust girls!!!

Good evening ladies

Bnbng - OMG!! CONGRATS ON YOUR :bfp:!!!! That is fantastic! I agree with ems84, a line is a line. Maybe test again in a few days....:smiliedance:

JoJoMart - Thanks for your wishes. This would be the 1st time having any kind of IVF. I would be starting off with AIH (artificial insemination-husbands sperm). My brother in law and his wife did this procedure with both of their pregnancies and all turned out fine. It just makes you wonder how ttc works because we fell pregnant with our DD straight away!

ems84 - All is sounding great with you:smiliedance:. Make sure you stay around and keep us posted on your progress.

AFM, I'm 4DPO and I'm due on 7th July so all I can do is sit around and wait:p. And yes ladies, you will be the first to know when I get that BFP (well, after my husband anyway;)).

Have a good night ladies......:flowerz:

Thanks for the positive thoughts girls! :hugs: It's funny, well not really funny, but a few people I have told IRL seems to think nearly all hope is lost so it's refreshing to get some positive thoughts on the matter! Well no AF as of this morning either so here's hoping she stays away. I really hope it's sticky :fingerscrossed: I feel a little yucky and have been tired so maybe, just hoping my bodies isn't playing tricks on me! Why does that happen by the way? It seems quite cruel really.

I woke up bleeding so I'm out too. :hissy: I have decided I really don't like positive test results unless they are really dark and fat! BBL when I'm happier.

:hugs::hugs: Bnbng....I am so sorry that AF showed up. The exact same thing happened to me just before I became pregnant with DD. I took a HPT right on due date and it was very feint. But I got so excited and told everyone that I was pregnant! A few days later I had such severe pain and I miscarried. It crushed us....but then we fell pregnant with DD the next month so don't give up hope. Take all the time you need.....we are all here if you need to talk :hugs:.

Splish n Splash - Bummer about the 'o' date. I'm still hopeful for you though:yes:.

OK all the other ladies......what's happening with you all? Keep us updated on your progresses.....:flowerz:

Bnbng - Big :hugs: hun. I'm sorry. :( There's not a chance it might just be spotting? We're here if you need to talk. I hope next month's a better month Sweet :hugs:

Splish n Splash - Don't loose hope yet hun - those swimmers can hang around in there for a while, even if O was a few days later. Have fingers crossed for you.

Mamacaz - is it 7 July yet?!? :D Gosh, I'm feel like I'm hanging out for the TWW with you girls!!

Hope all is well with everyone xo

Well I think I o'ed either yesterday or today all by myself :smiliedance: I got a very dark positive opk last night and have been having niggly pains for days now. :fingerscrossed: we catch the eggie this month as I really don't want to go onto fertility treatment. Oh and it's our 8 year anniversary today so hopefully that is a good omen and brings us our :bfp:

*TMI warning* OK, I don't know if this is really AF? I don't know what's going on because this morning there was quite a bit of blood, enough for me to think it was AF, and now its getting lighter and lighter. AF usually is quite heavy for me for 2 or 3 days and goes sometime on the 4th or 5th day. Is it worth going to the doctor tomorrow and asking for a blood test to confirm? or is this how AF start when implantation hasn't happened properly? Sorry no idea whats happening with my body ATM. How long does it take for blood results to come back? I never had a test when DD was cooking.

mummy_to_thomas
28-06-2009, 17:38
bnbng, I would see how it is in the morning and if it is still light, call the docs and see if you can get a blood test. Usually if you get the test done in the morning, you can get the results late that afternoon.

Good luck hun and :fingerscrossed: everything is ok :hugs:

Hi all, We are TTC no 2 now that Miss J is almost 11 months...
I have only really started watching dates etc for the past few months, though unfortunately I lost my elder brother to suicide 2 months ago, so that threw us terribly...back to square one...
It took us a while to get :bfp: with Miss J so :fingerscrossed: for a  baby brother for her to play with...soon...
May God Bless Us So...

mummy_to_Thomas - Yay for O'ing by yourself! I hope you have caught the eggie this month!

Splish n splash - hope you are going ok and you get the BFP this month!

Ems84 - How you going hun? Hope the MS is keeping away for you.

mamacaz - not too long to the 7 July now! I really hope you get your :bfp: this month! Everything crossed for you.

Not too much to report here - AF finished yesterday and have FS appointment tomorrow afternoon so will let you all know how that goes! :)

 Ladies....

Bnbng - I'm keeping everything :fingerscrossed: for you. Any new updates? How many days past your due date are you now? It could've just been spotting. There's no harm in seeing your doctor if you're worried. To be quite honest I don't remember how long the blood test results take:o. It was 9 years ago.....Good luck!!

:shakehands: Welcome Jolenje! Good luck with you ttc journey and I hope it's short and sweet.

Mum to Thomas - Happy Anniversary for yesterday!! And congrats for o'ing by yourself!! You may find it being an omen for you....

Splish n Splash - Stay positive. Don't give up just yet. I'm crossing everything for you too....

Mrs Dolphin - Good luck with the FS tomorrow. Another step closer.....

AFM...I've made a new appt to see IVF on Fri 17th July. Let's hope we can keep this one. I saw my GP today and she's given me a referral to see high risk pregnancy unit at the hospital. To cut a long story short.....I had a blood clot in my lung 5 years ago (2 days after turning 30 mind you) and whilst having investigations over the past 3 years as to why we aren't falling pregnant, the gyno found that I have Factor V Leiden, which means my body can produce blood clots. Therefore, I will be classed as high risk and would need to give myself Clexane injections daily to thin the blood once I'm pregnant. The GP seems to think that this condition could be possibly causing me to miscarry before my period is due....More investigations:hair:. Isn't 3 years enough!! Anyhoo.....I just need to make an appt with them now. Another step closer.......

Have a nice night ladies :flowerz:

Just a quickie from me tonight, bleeding has nearly stopped today which makes me even more confused, if that is at all possible :D Could not get into the doctor till this afternoon so the blood results will be in tomorrow about 4. Guess I'll know then what's happening. He gave me a ultrasound referral but I'm thinking I'll just wait for the blood results before I get to far ahead of myself. Am feeling more positive since the bleeding has nearly stopped but since I haven't done another home pregnancy test since Friday, when it was still faint, I am not getting too excited.

Mamacaz- that all sounds so frustrating and quite scary. Big :hugs:
Mrs Dophin- Good luck at your appointment tomorrow :goodvibes:
Jolenje- Sorry to hear about your brother. I hope you get your :bfp: ASAP!

Bnbng - :hugs: hun. I really hope it was just a bit of innocent spotting. Best of luck getting the test results back - hoping for you with everything I hve that it's good news :hugs::goodvibes:

Mamacaz - oh, you poor thing! All that waiting on top of it as well :hugs: Hoping your gut feeling is right this month and some of the investigations aren't neccessary!

Mrs Dolphin - Best of luck with your appt today. Hope it goes well! The midgie and I are well... MS is digging it's heels in, and has officially upgraded to spewing rather then just dry-retching. And the smell of meat - ugh... never had that with Khirra. Speaking of her, poor thing is slowly getting used to me suddenly running down the hallway to the toilet...freaked her out for a little bit, poor puppet.

Jolenje - Welcome and best of luck for a lovely short stay here!

Will be thinking of you girls with appts/waiting upon results today! :goodvibes:

 Hi ladies. Well it looks like lots has being happening since I was on here last...

Jolenje - Welcome and good luck with ttc #2. We're in the same boat, it took us a long time to conceive DD and hoping that it's much quicker this time - like this month would be nice:p

Mum to Thomas - Congratulations on O'ing yourself - :fingerscrossed: this is your month!

Mrs Dolphin - Good luck with your appointment this afternoon.

Bnbng - :hugs: hopefully you work out what is happening soon...it's so frustrating isn't it?

mamacaz - good luck hun! Hopefully they start getting to the bottom of things soon.

Good luck to everyone that i've missed...

Hmmm as for me, still waiting to 'O'. It sucks that you have to wait so long to 'O' and then BD like crazy for a couple of days and then wait forever to find out if your pregnant or not..and then AF comes and then we do it all over again. As you can see i'm rather impatient:p.

JoJoMart

kenoe - yes, all the waiting around for when you are O'ing and then DTD and waiting to see if AF arrives or not is hard work! I try and distract myself from it all.

ems84 - I hope the MS isn't too bad.

Bnbng - I hope what's caused the bleeding can be sorted out. Hopefully it was just some spotting and everything will be fine :fingerscrossed:

mamacaz - It sounds promising now that they have worked out you have Factor V Leiden which means they can hopefully prevent miscarriages in the future. Good luck getting closer to a BFP.

Mrs Dolphin - good luck!

Jolenje - that is very sad about your brother :hugs:. I hope your TTC#2 journey isn't a long one.

Hi to everyone else. I have been sick with a cold so very tired and not doing much BD'ing lately. Also been arguing a bit with DH which needs to be sorted out. So frustrating :hair:. Hopefully some counselling will help.

Splish n Splash - :hugs:Your levels may not be strong enough yet. Don't lose too much hope. I would wait until Friday to see what happens and to test again. Good luck with getting your levels up.

Hi Ladies

Just a quick update to let you know how i went yesterday at the FS. He confirmed I have PCOS and he has put me on the pill for 3 weeks and then I will track my own cycle and use Clomid for the first 5 days and then the dreaded TWW to see if it has worked. If not pregnant then we are to do the same the next cycle and then if THAT hasn't worked on the 3rd month/cycle we are to let fertility centre know and have injections as well of HCG. Then if that hasn't worked it is back to doc for review.

So am starting pill at end of the week.

However I have a small dilemma I am grappling with.

I start a new part-time job at end of July and I don't want to only be there like 1 or 2 months and announce I am pregnant as while they can't say anything I feel it wouldn't look good or make for good relations so I am thinking about maybe going on pill for 2 or 3 months and then starting the clomid etc. DO you think this would be ok even though doc has said start after 3 weeks of pill. It is just delaying it really a couple of months just to buy some time. Or should I do as doc said and if works 1st month just deal with work!

What do you think? I don't want to seem ungrateful for TTC help or anything and of course a bub is way more important than a job but this is kinda an ideal p/t job for me that I would be returning to after any after maternity leave but just bad timing really.

Any advice?!

BBL for personals.

Hi All...

I'm new to Bub Hub and this thread...i hope you all don't mind if i join you!

We have a DS who is just 2 and a half and TTC #2 as of last month! I was just diagnosed with elevated testosterone (causing my cycles to be anywhere between 26 - 38 days long) and my doctor told me to try and get pregnant and come back if any problems in a few months. Currently trying to lose some weight and hope that helps with the testosterone problem...

Currently finishing AF now so looking forward to trying again this month!

:shakehands: Welcome ojmum!! Of course we don't mind if you join us lovely ladies....Hope your ttc journey is short and sweet.

JoJo - I'm starting a temp job at the ATO tonight for the busy tax season. Initially it will be 4 hours per day 5 days per week for 8 weeks. Then as the workload requires us. My hours will be 6.30-10.30pm so that will be interesting but atleast I can still be at home during the day to do the things I need to do and to be here for my DD.

Mrs Dolphin - Wow what a dilemma you have!! It is up to you and what feels right for you. No-one can help it if they just "happen" to fall pregnant;). These things happen and they don't need to know the details as to how it happened. Your pregnancy may now happen straight away or it may take a few months. To be quite honest, I'm in the same boat as you. As I said above, I'm starting a new part-time temp job tonight and I'm not letting anything get in the way of ttc. We've been ttc for 3 years and we don't want to wait any longer. What does your husband think? How do you really feel about it? Go with your gut instinct.

AFM, well yesterday was interesting......My back was extremely sore yesterday and my chiro found a lump near my spine. He was a little worried and said that it might be an organ or swollen lymph node:eek:!! He told me to see a doc ASAP. So I went to see the doc last night and she thinks it may be inflamed skin?? They wanted to do an x-ray but I said that I may be pregnant so I have to go and have an ultrasound to check it out. I was so upset last night, really frightened. A big sooky la-la. So hopefully I can get in to get ultrasound done today. If not it will have to be Saturday as I have a funeral to go to tomorrow. All this and I have to start work tonight in pain......how wonderful......:( I'll let you know once I find out more info.

Have a nice day ladies :flowerz:

Sorry ladies I am at work doing this post, so i'm sorry but it's mainly going to be about me and will be back tomorrow for personals.

AF arrived today so cycle length was 25 days. I have used FF this month which picked up O as cd15 which I thought was cd12. luteal pharse it is saying is 11 days. So how do I work out O this month. Using a 25 or 26 day cycle and 11 day lutal phase?? Hubby and I will try for one more month and If not pregnant will wait 2-3 months for my vitamin levels to get back to normal. We don't want to bd every day as last cycle he had to wake me at midnight when he finished work and it got too much.

Any help would be great.

I'll be back tomorrow for personals sorry.

If you don't mind the idea of putting off TTC for a couple of months, then maybe going back on the pill until you are settled in your new job? I really think it's a dilemma as you also want to put TTC first and foremost, however, I can totally understand not wanting to announce a new pregnancy so soon in a new job. However, we had a temp staff member who fell pregnant really quickly after only being with us 2 months. She stayed until her bub was due, so it really was fine in the end.

I was surprised to get this job so it has thrown us all out!! We are thinking at this stage that I will take the pill a couple of months and then about Sept or Oct go onto the Clomid medication and see what happens! Hi all you yummy mummy's TTC #2!

I have updated the front page but if I have missed anyone I am so sorry, just PM me.

Biggest congratulations to those of you who are pregnant (ems84)! Thats the best news.

I am so behind with how everyone is going.

To be honest, I have been a bit worried these last few months as to how I will cope if and when number 2 comes a long. I am sure I will cope, its just the fear of the unknown I think....

I do believe though that my little miss needs a sibling as she is getting very used to 100% attention 100% of the time. I am so looking forward to being pregnant again, so now is as good a time as any. With my exams out of the way, and our house building all happening, I am thinking we will start trying this week...... it feels like the right time so fingers crossed!

Mrs Dolphin, I hope everything works out - what a curveball hey? If its any help, my best friend started a job in Feb and fell pregnant that May. Her employers were really good about it. I think if you are a hard worker (which I have no doubt you would be) and prove your worth in the first few months, then it is what it is. They will have to deal with it eventually anyway - know what I mean? Your family comes first and I think employers these days are very aware of this. Good luck sweetie...

Bnbg, havealaugh, desparatetofall, knb79, mumtotom, mamacaz, jojomart, kenoe, jolenje, oj mum, eclipse and all the other mummies....good luck TTC no 2

Hey everyone, how are we all?

I'm feeling much better now, it was a big of a roller-coaster there for a minute though. I went and saw my bestie on the weekend in Canberra, she had a little girl on Thursday night so I had to go see her! She's so adorable, I love newborns :cloud9:

So I don't know when I will be ovulating, I had never used the ovulation tests, maybe I should be this month?!? Should I be going off when I should have gotten my period or for when I had the bleed? I really have no idea when you ovulate after a very early miscarriage? I had a panic last night thinking that if it was from when I was expecting AF to come before the positive test I would be ovulating about now  DH thought it was good though, he's enjoying the practise he says. At any rate if I don't fall this month we'll have a little break because we have a trip to Japan booked in September and I don't want to be all morning sickness ridden while over there (that if i even fell IYKWIM) If I fall this month I'd be about 12 weeks when we go so fingers crossed!!!!!!!

KayQ77- nice to meet you and good luck trying this week!

Ojmum- nice to meet you as well! As for the o questions... from my post you can probably guess I have zero idea, sorry :o

MrsDolphin- Sucks about your job, why can't it just be easy huh! Hope you find a way around it.

 Splish n splash, sorry about AF. What a pain. Will cross everything for you that this month is your month.

JoJoMart- Hope the TTW goes quickly for you!

eclipse- Hi and goodluck!!! Hope you DS had a great birthday.

mamacaz- Is everything alright with your back? how scary and just downright horrid. Fingers crossed it's nothing at all to worry about. Hope the funeral was OK too, you poor thing, what a rough time your having :hugs:

Hi to anyone else I missed, hope your all well. Wonder how ems84 is going???

Hello Everyone!

WOW so much has been posted lately, not enough time to catch up but I will try!

Mrs Dolphin- I bet it's good to actually have an answer for what's been happening and it's good to see the doctor has put a plan to action, so it can only get better from here. Regarding the part time job, I would take it and not let it interfere with your TTC.

They don't need to know and if by chance you fall pretty quickly after starting the clomid, then you still have around 7 or more months after that to keep working (if you can work that long) and get some money behind you :)

Hello to eclipse! Nice to see a new face in the thread...How funny is it when they ASK for a certain sex...DS has been demanding that he's getting a sister, and not a brother lol  So I'm praying we get a girl just so we don't get the tantrums of having a little brother hahaha.

Ems84 - I'm so happy for you and your pregnancy! So exciting, now we get to listen to your pregnancy journey which is exciting!!!

JoJoMart - How is this month going for you????

SplishNSplash - Sorry to hear about your AF! I have no idea in regards to charting etc lol. I only just started to keep track of this months cycle, so I'm still doing the guess work too and really have no idea. Good luck though :)

Hi ojmum - I would probably just try for a couple of more months then maybe start charting and testing for ovulation if nothing happens? Or get stuck into it now :D hehe. All the best.

KayQ77 - Nice to see you drop in, whatever happens I'm sure it will all work out :) I still sometimes have a freak out moment too of, what if I find it too hard?? But then within in an hour or so that moment's gone lol. Take care!

bnbng - I also have no idea when I should be ovulating or not, DP and I decided we don't want to see when I am, we would rather just go with the flow and I'm sure eventually we will get it right hahaha.
Ooooh I hope you don't get MS while you're overseas if you do fall this month, that would be awful. You never know, your next pregnancy you may not get any MS!

mamcaz - how are you??? Hope all is well this months for you.

Okay so I'm currently in my week after AF finishing, so ovulating sometime soon, don't know when haha.

Things are going pretty good at the moment, we got a brand new car, I'm in the process of getting everything organised for my business too, work is a tad stressful due to the new owners but change is good and we got an acceptance letter yesterday for DS into our local Catholic School, which I'm VERY happy about. It's fantastic as it's such a beautiful school.

Exciting times ahead lol.

Hello to anyone else I've missed...hope you're all well :hugs:

Hey ladies,

Sorry I have been MIA for a while. MS has been playing havoc with me. Got to the point yesterday I hadn't kept anything down in a few days and got a Maxalon injection last night, and now on the pills. Thankfully they've worked and I didn't have to go into hospy to get put on a drip today. Ahh, the joys. lol.

Splish N Splash - Sorry to hear about AF turning up this month hun :hugs:. Not sure about calculating O hun... maybe try to get an indicator from CM maybe, and just BD every second day or so when it starts to get creamy and a bit more stetchy? Meant to be a good indicator of O impending? Hope all your vitamin levels get sorted quickly! xo

Mrs Dolphin - I agree with the other girls; go get the job, and if they're good people you want to work for, they won't mind that you've fallen pregnant - these things happen. If they're not good about it, they're probably not the greatest employees about anyway :hugs:

OJmum - Welcome! Hope your visit in this thread is a lovely but short one!

Mamacaz - Oh hun, that's the last sort of drama you need :hugs: Have they looked further into the lump? I'm sure it's fine hun. I got a (benign) thyroid tumor right at the end of my pregnancy with DD (no thyroid disease, just a freak thing). Was very scarey as all the biopsies and ultrasounds were inconclusive as to whether or not it was nasty or not, and until I had the operation to get it removed (when Khirra was 3 months old) I had no idea whether things were alright or not. Thank God it was all good. So I do completely understand the horrible wait of the unknown. I hope it's all fine though sweet. I also have 3 lymph nodes that are up in my neck and behind my ear at the moment that are freaking me out(even though they've been there almost a year and haven't done anything), but my doctor isn't concerned.... so sometimes it's just our bodies doing funny things. Let us know hun.

Eclipse - Welcome hun, and best of luck! hehe, sooo sweet about your DS! Gosh, they say the most lovely things sometimes, don't they.

Kay - good to hear from you! Was wondering what had happened to our wonderful OP! I know what you mean about wondering how you'll cope with two... DD was sick and cranky with a cold the other day, my MS was terrible, and I was thinking 'I've changed my mind!!!' I just don't know how people do it with several children... guess we'll all find out soon enough!

Bnbng - Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better hun :hugs: How exciting, a trip to Japan!! Hopefully you'll be just out of the MS phase by then seeing you'll be 12 weeks ;) Not sure about the cycle, sorry sweet. Good on your DH for being so supportive and committed to the cause though, lol!

Sweetserenity - Yay for getting the acceptance to the school you're after. It would be such a nice thing getting the school you're after. DP and I are in talks atm where we want to be living come the time DD is in school so she can just be in the one place. And woohoo, a new car! What'd ya get, if you don't mind me being nosey? (we're in the market for a car atm)

Sorry if I've missed anyone! Hope it's a successful month for all you girls - fingers and toes crossed!

Ems - You poor thing with your MS :hugs: I'm PRAYING I don't get it with the next one (luckily I didn't with DS). I have a phobia of vomit and vomitting...so I would be the worst person to get it lol

It sucks that yours is really bad, but thank god the injection/tablets are working!

We ended up getting a brand new Nissan X-Trail...in black :D SOOOO nice. I'm so in love with it. Great in size but easy to drive

What sort of cars are you and your DP looking into?

Yes it is great that DS got into a school of our choice. Yeah it's amazing how you have to take into consideration of where you'll be living when they start school. Where we are, the public schools in this suburb aren't the best, but this catholic school is wonderful...handy too being just up the road too

Hope you have a great week hun xox

Hi Girls, Congrats to Ems on the MS (isn't it the only time we wish for it when TTC) !!! Well Done!!!
Not much news here I am due for AF in the next week or so, (I have a 30-35 day cycle so its a bit of a waiting game... We are really keen to have No. 2 so if nothing happens in the next few months I may look to temping/charting etc. as I don't want to have too big a gap between bubs and/or leave it till I'm too old...
Hugs to all who've had not so good news, I'm hearing you, good luck to those yet to find out soon...:fingerscrossed:

Good evening ladies:wave:

Sorry I haven't been online, our computer has been down for 2 days!! Oh how I miss it when it doesn't work!!

Firstly, AF reared her ugly head yesterday with full force (nasty thing she is). I also tested on the weekend and got BFN (it got the better of me hehe).

Secondly, I've had an ultrasound and x-ray for my back. The reports say that there's some calcification:confused: in the skin tissue but they didn't seem too worried. I may need CT scan but I have to wait til Monday to see the doc to see what she wants to do next, if anything at all.

Finally, I had my appt with the antenatal clinic today to discuss what I need to do re: Factor V Leiden and pregnancy. They were really good. They suggested that I try clomid for a few months to see if that will work. We weren't offered this with prior gyno in Newcastle so we are going to cancel the IVF appt and go with this for 3 months. If this doesn't work, then off to IVF. See, I thought there was a reason why I had to keep on cancelling the IVF appts;). We feel really positive about this so we're keeping our :fingerscrossed:. It is now CD2 and I am to take clomid from CD5 to CD9, then go for a bloodtest on CD21 to check that I o'd, then the classic 2WW.:goodvibes:

I started work last Thursday night. It's going pretty good but I am getting to bed late. Sorry ladies I'll do personals later. It is very late now and I'm off to bed.

Goodnight

Hi everyone, just a quick post from me. I hope all is well with everyone :goodvibes: I should be ovulating any time now so DH and I are DTD every 2nd night. Fingers crossed we catch the egg this month! Last chance to try for a couple of months so here's hoping.

Hope those in the TTW are surviving. Anyone testing soon????

Glad the Doctor didn't think it was anything to worry about about mamacaz, hope thats what the scans said too. Yay for the Clomid. Goodluck!!!

jolenje- Hope you get your :bfp: and definitely not AF!

Sweetserenity- Good luck this month! Yay for new cars!

Well we have been trying flat out this last week and I feel so happy at the thought that I may be....

But if not, there is always next month. It's so much fun trying ;)

In the meantime.....the key thing for me is to do is keep busy, otherwise I think about it 24/7!!

Fingers crossed!!!!

I wish I had more time to write personals but I have to run.... Good luck ladies :)

Hey girls,

Just ducking in quickly to say hello

Sweetserenity - Ooh, I do like the X-trail (especially in black!). We're not really looking at anything specific...DP changes his mind every week  He does seem particularly interested in the dual cab Triton ute... we shall see.

Mamacaz - So, so glad for you hun that it's nothing too nasty. And so glad you have the clomid option - hope that it works this month!!

And best of luck for everyone else BDing and in the two week wait! Lots of :babydust2: girls. xo

Good morning ladies!!

Bnbng & Kayq77 - Good luck with the tww. It just doesn't go quick enough does it??

Ems84 - hows the pregnancy going? Hopefully the ms isn't too bad.

Everyone else :babydust2:

AFM.....I saw my doc on Monday about my back and the ultrasound shows that there is an old injury:confused: and I need to go and see a specialist now!! I can't go and have a ct scan due to us ttc so this will rule out anything serious I hope!

Todays my last day for clomid for this month and I'm due to 'o' next monday so this weekend is a busy time for us;). Work is really tiring. My body's still not used to working:D. I'm a walking zombie at the moment......

Have a nice day ladies:flowerz:

MamaCaz - all the best with your busy week ahead ;) he he

KayQ77 - It is so much fun trying isn't it. I worked out I was ovulating at the end of last week, and I'm so glad we had the weekend to take advantage of it hahaha :o

Ems84 - How's the MS going? Are you permanantly on the injections to keep it at bay? Good luck with the car hunting... DP was the same, very indecisive lol

So I'm in the 2 week wait, I am about a week in. AF is due in about 5 - 7 days. Today I feel like I may be but not sure if it's my body tricking me like the first month. I am constantly having that sick hungry feeling even though I've just eaten??? So that's a bit weird. Should be able to test in a week. So we'll see.

Hello to everyone else, hope you're all well :D

Hi everyone,

We have had such a nice day, DH got his tattoo of DD and it looks fantastic, I should post a photo when we download them! It's similar to my avatar just he did it so she's looking at you instead of past you if that makes sense. I went shopping with my sister while he was getting it done. Tomorrow we are staying the night in the city and going to see Pink. Can't wait. Have no idea when I ovulated so we are still DTD :valentine: Think we might give it a rest after this weekend though. DD is staying at the inlaws and MIL is bringing her back on Sunday, we are meeting in the City and will go to on the Ferry to Manly or something- should be fun. :smiliedance:

Hope everyone is well- Sweetserenity- that all sounds promising! Fingers crossed!

Be back soon for proper personals

Hi everyone ...

So I'm CD28 and still no sign of AF... :D Fingers crossed!!!! Last cycle was 26days so I hope bubba no.2 has made itself at home this month.

I don't think a pregnancy test will show anything for about a week or more as I ovulated around CD19 - CD23, so will have to be patient.

If AF doesn't show in the next 4 days, hopefully I can be pretty confident that it's a :bfp:! We'll keep you all posted.

bnbng- Sounds like you've had a great few days! How was pink?? Can't wait to see a photo of the tattoo...would look fantastic! Hope you have fun at Manly, I love it there, so pretty :)

Hope everyone's having a good weekend!

AFM, MS is still raging. Nauseus and spewing despite taking the Maxalon tablets now, but not nearly as bad as it would be, I guess, so them's the breaks. 10 weeks today. So arranging the scan today, hopefully. Which reminds me I also have to organise DD's Christening... have been waiting for her Aunty and Uncle (Godparents) to come down from Darwin, and they've got a date now, so that's exciting.

It should be due approx mid april... So autumn baby...which is lovely. I'm sure DP will hope it ends up coming later in April so it's a Taurus like him haha.

DP was SOOO happy Sunday, we actually had a little disagreement on Sunday and he went out to see his best friend for a little while, I did the test while he was gone (I was being a moody cow that weekend :o) and there was the positive.

splish n splash- we will be testing about the same time I think- still not sure when I am meant to be testing but Sunday will be 4 weeks since my bleed so I'm going with that. I will cross my fingers for the both of us

I'm off to Berry today, My Aunty was put into the palliative care place there Monday so I want to go see her before she goes down hill any further, I've been around to much dying in the last few years and would rather see her while she's still conscious- my Dad's pretty shock up, it has happened pretty quickly, I just hope he's OK too, he has been acting really weird the last couple of months since she found out about it all. He just says things really out of character and has just not been with it. Arguing with his mates and offending lots of people. Hopefully it's the stress of his sister and work, not anything more serious. Anyway sorry to be rambling- will stay down with my folks for a couple of nights so I won't have access to the net. I hope we have some more :bfp: to celebrate by then!!!

Hi everyone, I'll back from the coast, unfortunately my plan of getting there to see my Aunty before she went to far down hill didn't work and when I got there she was far sicker than I imagined. I spent wed arvo with her and was in and out all day yesterday. I went home with DD and another Aunty who was finding it all too much about 8.30pm last night. My Aunty passed this morning so I have driven back to Sydney for the weekend and will go back next week to help with the wake preparation and the funeral. :(

Mrs Dolphin you sound really happy with your decision so I wish you the best of luck with your new job and hope you get your BFP when your good and ready. :goodvibes: So sorry about your friend too, must be so horrible :hugs:

Hi daydreamer, looking forward to getting to know you :)

Not much news from me otherwise, I think AF should be due this weekend?? I'm CD 27 but am not sure what my body will do this month after last month... AM hoping for a BFP, my mum always says that someone has to come for someone to leave, so maybe if I get a BFP this month that could be the someone coming... I can only hope!

Hi ladies,

I don't drop in here to write often but just thought i would ask you all some advice!

I am CD28 today and tested this morning (just for fun!) and a really really faint line appeared on the test. So i tested again this afternoon with a different test (First Response) and this time got another faint line but it was darker then the first one this morning! I'm just not sure what all these faint lines mean! Is this my BFP???

Sorry i am a bit clueless - when i found out i was pregnant with my DS it was so dark straight away (but i was about a week overdue for AF!)...i guess i will test again in a few days and see what happens!

Thanks ladies - hopefully i can move to the BFP list soon! x

Hi ladies

ojmum - Any line is a BFP whether it's strong or weak. it should get darker as the days go on. congrats!

bnbng - :hugs: I'm so sorry to hear of your aunt. death is never a good thing. I'm like you where i have been to so many funerals over the last 3 years it's insane. I think your dad is just finding it hard with everything that is happening and although it's not nice, it's his way of dealing with it. As long as he has you and your family by his side for support. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Mrs Dolphin - I'm sorry to hear of your friends loss. That must be the most horrible thing to happen.

It's good that you finally made a decision on your situation. It will all work out in the end

Daydreamer1 - Welcome back! Enjoy your stay with us :D

AFM - Still waiting......We are taking our DD to see Disney On Ice today which should be good. Good luck to everyone :babydust2:

Mum didn't want me to test till I was 2 weeks late this time  As if I could have done that! She is just worried what happened last time will happen again. All good I'll tell her after the blood test results are back :goodvibes: Hope your all well. Thanks for letting me share my news!

Hi Ladies:wave:

daydreamer1 - Disney On Ice was fantastic! DD absolutely loved all the princesses and just had to put her cinderella dress on when we got home.

nikki78 - Have you tested yet? It sounds promising seeing that you are 10 days late......Let us know how you go.

Sweet Serenity - How are you feeling? Let us know your progress.

Bnbng - How are you? I suppose your feelings are bittersweet at the moment.

Mrs Dolphin, Splish n Splash, everyone else.....how are you all going?

AFM.....I had my 21 day bloodtest done yesterday to check that I am ovulating etc. I have an appointment with OB on 5th Aug, which is the day after I test. We are :fingerscrossed: that the clomid has worked this month. We feel excited knowing it's a new dimension on our journey and that this is possibly the magic potion we needed for it all to work. It's the 2nd anniversary of my father's death :( on 2nd Aug so I'm hoping that this is somewhat lucky for us, knowing that my dad is looking down on us, doing all he can for this to work. I hate the 2WW. It's torture! Is anyone else due for testing soon?

Good luck everyone :babydust2:

Well, I'm not too sure if I really belong in this thread yet...LOL DH and I only threw away the pills a few days ago (finshed AF Saturday - no more since then!!) so I guess we're officially TTC again :yelclap: DS is nearly 11 months and both DH and I are stupidly clucky and desperate to have #2 - so let's get this party started!!!

We conceived DS within two cycles last time, but I am under no misconceptions that the same thing will happen again! DH is in the Defence Force and is barely home as it is....at this rate, I'm going to have to get him to post me some swimmers and I'll do it myself! LOL! Guess we will just have to wait and see....and in the meantime, I'll enjoy chatting with you all!! :ecomcity:

My heart goes out to those of you who have been TTC for the long term....I wish you all lots of luck!!! Bring on the babies!!! :smiliedance:

Such fantastic, exciting news!!! So when are you guys due and all those exciting details?? All the best for a happy, healthy pregnancy ladies :goodvibes:

Sweetserenity - How are you feeling hun? Still on cloud 9, no doubt :cloud9:

Mamacaz - how was Disney on Ice? I can't wait to take DD to things like that - so special! lol, I have heard that MS is a sign of a healthy PG... doesn't feel too healthy, haha! Hope the TWW doesn't feel too long!

Mrs Dolphin - So great to hear that you love work and are happy with your decision. Will be nice for you to focus on a great new job with everything you've had to take on as of late (hugs). Make sure you keep us updated xo. Sorry to hear about your friend, too. That is just awful. I hope she is doing okay.

Splish N Splash - Ahh, I love Darwin...dunno if I could live there though, purely because of the heat. Did you love it there? We've been meaning to get up there again, actually.
I hear ya on the MS - I had MS for about 7months with Khirra - had a break for a month and a bit in the middle, so it's obviously just what my body does...mind you, before I fell I had convinced myself that it would be different this time. It's still going strong, so quite frankly the next 2 kids DP wants are looking less and less likely, LOL. Ahh, but then, we forget these things, don't we?.... briefly. lol.

Daydreamer - welcome back and best of luck!

EquineMum - Welcome and best of luck to you too hun - hope this one comes as quickly as your DD did!

Well, all good here. Still sick, but I'm getting much better at spewing again - haha - hardly any effort at all now *insert eye roll here* lol. Have my first antenatal appointment next week, and the scan is the week after that. So it's a bugger I have to wait sooo long for the scan, but I'll be 13weeks 4days, so it hopefully bubby will be good to look at by then.

Hope everyone is well and we get some more BFP's in here very soon - it's getting exciting in here!!

Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for all the congratulations and well wishes :hugs:

I went to the doctors this morning and got a :bfp: on his test which was a relief, had a blood test done but will wait till Thursday when I'm having another blood test (to check the levels are doubling) to get all the results. Am super excited but the doctor thinks I need to be cautious in case we have a repeat of last month. If they come back good he'll give me a referral for a early scan. So Thursday before I head to Nowra for the funeral, I'll get more bloods done and after the funeral I will find out the results of both tests. Hopefully what will be a sad day will end in a extremely happy way.

Nikki- did you test yet?? Good luck to you!

Daydreamer- I hope your feeling better- Gastro sucks! Hope DS is OK as well!

Caz- I really really hope this month is your month too!!! Fingers crossed you dad sends you your BFP :hugs:Hope the rest of your TTW goes quickly for you.

EquineMum- Hope your stay here is short and sweet!

splish n splash- So sorry AF reared her ugly face :hugs: Not sure about what you can do to change your cycle except maybe see a doctor, see what they say?

Ems84- Hi, hope your MS eases soon! 12 week scan- how exciting!!! Can wait to hear about it! Might have to Stalk your due in thread around that time

Sorry if I have missed anyone- Hope your well though.

Hi guys,

well gastro bug has gone thank goodness! It's an awful way to lose weight I must say.

bnbng, :fingerscrossed: for your blood test results. My mum always says that usually when you lose someone you get given somebody back. Lets hope this is the case.

ems84, how exciting that you have your first appointment next week. Do you think you will get an early peek?

Equinemum, yep you definetly sound like you belong in this thread! LOL about getting the swimmers in the post.

Splish n Splash, sorry about af showing up, maybe you could try Vitex for lengthening your cycle. It works by lengthening your luteal phase which is really important for TTC. I took it when my cycles were all over the place and it really seemed to help after a couple of months. It tastes foul though (apparently it's better to take in liquid form)

mamacaz, hopefully your dad sends you your bfp to you.

Well ds was really testing the boundaries today! Grrrr what happened to my little angel? Well a mum from my mums group announced she was UTD the other week and now another one announced it. Really happy for them and can't wait till it's my turn.

AFM, cd11 today and we are now officially TTC! Yay :smiliedance:feels a bit weird though.

He's looking forward to doing the city to surf with us on the 9th, I am worried I'm not going to have the energy. We walked 15km last weekend so I know I can make the distance. Will walk 12 or so on Saturday so hopefully I go alright! I'm the youngest in our little team- I don't want to be the one slowing us down! Hi to everyone else! Where are we all up to girls?

AFM, Well I am cd 15 and I have no clue really when I ovulate? I've been going by CM. Last cycle was 31 days and going from CM I O'd on cd17 which is a luteal phase of 15 days?

I'm really confused this cycle though as CM seems to indicate I O'd on cd12? Maybe I'm on a shorter cycle? I think I will buy OPK's next month as I don't have much hope for this month. Sorry for the :ecomcity: but need someone to talk about this to cause dp doesn't want to know about my cycles.

Just wanted to say a big HI to all the new faces

Nice to have some new people in our little thread.

Brooke, good luck with the city to surf! That will be awesome, don't work yourself too hard though haha.

Hope everyone else is going well...have been thinking of you all :hugs:

AFM, I'm getting there. Went back to work yesterday and I had a little bunch of flowers with a card from one of the girls and reading that set the tears off, but then I was able to focus on work and not be emotional...

I still miss being pregnant with our bub, even though I wasn't far, just knowing it was there and all the excitement around it really has made it hard to let it go... but my friend told me a beautiful belief of hers that's helping me to get past it... She said that each person has certain souls allocated to them before birth and that the soul of this baby that went will just come back with the next one we conceive...I thought that was a nice way to look at it :goodvibes:

So I'm more positive this week, but I'm sure the sadness will still hit every now and then.

Thanks to all you beautiful ladies for the hugs, you girls are the best :hugs:

:fingerscrossed: We get a sticky :bfp: very soon.

Love Nat xoxoxox

 Meegzz. How exciting that you will be TTC soon. Hope it goes quickly for you!

SweetSerenity, glad you are going ok. That was sweet of the girl at work, and what your friend said bout us having a soul allocated to us I believe that.

AFM, still no idea if I O'd or not but after day 12 my CM dried up pretty much so it probably was then. We have been ESN since day 10 so maybe we caught it. Af should be due the 18th and I won't test unless af doesn't show up. So I guess I'm in the TWW :smiliedance:

ok my body is being weird . . . .

I thought I'd be calm, cool and collected in the TWW

I am so bloated atm it's not funny. This has been going on for a couple of days and I'm crampy like AF cramps sort of. Last night though I had to lie down on the couch as my uterus felt really strained like when I'd done too much when I was preg with ds. I wanted to walk round holding under my belly. I lied down took some panadol while dp looked after ds and eventually it went away.

If I ovulated cd12 I would be 7dpo, but that would have been an early O for me. I could be O'ing now I suppose but my CM is creamy and lots of it? So confused. Anywway sorry for the me :ecomcity: just had to get that out somewhere.

Hi ladies

Well the wicked witch turned up today with full force....nasty cow she is . Prior to her turning up I had a bloodtest which turned out negative.

I saw the ob/gyn today and she wants me to have ultrasound tomorrow to check that the clomid hasn't overstimulated the ovaries etc and she wants me to start clomid on cd2 this month. Apparently this will make me ovulate earlier?? My 21day bloodtest results came back stating that I am ovulating perfectly 100%. She's very confident that we will fall pregnant next month.

I had my appointment with specialist for the lump on my back on Monday just past and it turns out that there is nothing to worry about. He couldn't feel any lump (thank god!), so that's another thing off my mind.

Anyway enough about me.......

Good luck everyone and I'll do personals later.

I have meen MIA. this month we decided not to use temping, opk's and I have tried keeping away from forum sites.

I am on CD13 at the moment.

Good luck to those in the TWW and hope it goes fast.

Anyone know much about facebook groups? I was thinking of making a group on there for us as I don't really want to hang out in bubhub-long story I think a old friend has discovered I am on here again..But I don't want ppl on facebook to know we are TTC so can you make private groups. Would anyone be interested? then we can still all keep up with each others journeys as once ppl get a :bfp: it's only natural they move on from this group.

Hellooooooooo?? Anyone here??????? It's very quiet in here..........I'm hoping that means no news is "good" news????

:shakehands: Welcome to the newcomers! May your journies be short and sweet.

Nat - I am so sorry for your loss. Please don't lose hope. It will happen and most probably sooner than you think :hugs:

DayDreamer1 - Good luck with your tww! It is very frustrating having to wait to test.

Sweet Serenity - The Facebook group sounds like a great idea  but may just need to have a disguised name for the group because for me, I have fb friends/family who don't know that we are ttcing and I would assume that it's the same situation for you and others? Just a thought.....

Bnbng - How are you feeling? Hope your Dad is going ok :hugs:

AFM, my ultrasound came back ok (no overstimulation of the ovaries). Therefore I started clomid on CD2 in the hope that I ovulate earlier. I am assuming that I will be due to 'o' this weekend but will have to wait and see. AF was very weird this month. Not the usual way at all plus a lot of cramps/pains with it. I don't know if it's the clomid doing this??? My obgyn is pretty confident that this is our month. All we can do is sit and wait and :fingerscrossed:. We've been secretly going out looking at prams, we just can't help ourselves! Any prams you girls recommend that's easy to use and light to pick up? We are going to see Hale and Pace tomorrow night which should be good. It's also DD1's 8th birthday next week so busy planning her party. This year it's at an indoor mini putt putt golf place.

Well that's all from me atm. Come on girls, this has to be our month......Good luck to all of you.......

Daydreamer1 - Sorry about your :bfn:. Has AF arrived yet? It could be too early for you to test??

Sweet Serenity & Nikki78 - :fingerscrossed: for you....

AFM, I'm CD14 and probably ovulating today. I used my last OPK on Sunday and got a positive surge then so we've been bding since then. There's been no temp rise to predict 'o' yet plus previously have had 2 days of positive surging each month.....Therefore I didn't really 'o'any earlier than usual.

Today from lullaby conceptions I bought some OPK's and some pre-seed as I don't seem to get much fertile cm so I thought hey it can't hurt to try. No idea how to use OPK's so might need some help there.

Hi ladies

ems84 - Gorgeous pics of your little one!! I can't wait to do that again......Yes my obgyn was very confident! As soon as she sees me she's excited and wants to find out everything!! She's fantastic.

Daydreamer1 - :hugs: Sorry for AF. Try to stay positive. As for the OPK's & Preseed, I use the same ones and they are easy to use. Just read the instructions on the OPK box and it tells you when to start using them. They are exactly like PG tests. The Preseed is good. My DH loves using it! Anything is worth a try ;)

Sweet Serenity - :hugs: Sorry for your AF. She's just a nasty cow isn't she????:D Stay positive!!

GabysMama - Welcome to our thread! Hope your journey is short and sweet.

Splish n Splash - Sorry for your BFN. BUT it's not over til AF arrives.....stay positive!!

AFM, I am CD16 so 'o' is over and done with this month so we're hoping we caught the eggie. I had a temp rise this morning and slight rises over the past day or so.....don't know when I've actually 'o'd. FF hasn't told me yet:p. So now I'm in the 2WW. Lucky I have work to take my mind off it (somewhat) and it's also my DD's 8th birthday today. She's having a party on Sunday so I will be a little busy over the next few days.

Good luck ladies and lots of babydust to all :flowerz:

Hi everyone,

Sweet Serenity, sorry af came :hugs:. Maybe we can have a May bubba together.

mamacaz, the temp rises sound promising! Happy 8th Birthday to dd. Hope you have a great day on the Sunday.

Splish n Splash, yep I got a pm from you and I thought I sent one back but maybe not I'm still learning how it all works :o.
:fingerscrossed: af doesn't show up. Those cramping pains do sound promising. That was the main symptom I had with ds. It's just so hard to know isn't it.

Well tomorrow I'm going to lunch and shopping with my gf who got her bfp last weekend. Can't wait to talk baby as she's the only one who knows we are TTC. I would love to be pregnant with her but we will see what happens.

Hi ladies

FF has detected my 'o' as CD13, 2 days earlier than usual! This is exactly what my obgyn wanted!:yelclap:

Thanks for your birthday wishes for my DD. We got her a guitar for her bday and she's learnt 2 chords already!! Clever little chicken.....It's suppose to be mid-late 20's this weekend here so it will be nice for her party tomorrow. I can't believe she's 8!!!

Still :fingerscrossed: for you both Splish n Splash and Daydreamer1!!!

Have a wonderful weekend ladies :sunshine:

Oh my god... I GOT A :bfp:!!!!!!!!!!!

What I thought was the start of AF last monday, well was obviously an implantation bleed as no blood afterwards continued and I'm now on CD34...and tested out of curiousity and got the POSITIVE :D

Argh.. I can't believe it.

Not getting too excited yet though, now the waiting starts...I hope this one sticks!

Love Nat xox

Thank you too for the congrats!

Aww I hope your little man gets better...DS was sick all last week and he was the same, very clingy  You feel so sorry for them.

Hope you catch that egg hun!

AFM, I just realised I miscalculated and I'm not pasy CD 34, I'm actually only on CD29...so I'm now getting worried that this one may not stay. The next 2 weeks will be the worst waiting period, I'm worried we will lose this one too.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Thinking of you all.

Love Nat xoxo :hugs:

Hi girls

Well, my prayers haven't been answered once again. My bloodtest turned out negative and AF reared her ugly head this afternoon, on time as usual:thumbsdown:

My appt with obgyn yesterday went well. She wants me to continue with the Clomid, starting on CD5 this time. She also gave me a referral to Westmead Fertility for IVF. We will give Clomid one more month, then if no pregnancy, off to IVF we go.

Good luck girls......Caz :flowerz:

Sweet Serenity - COngratulations! That is wonderful news! :) I hope this bub is a sticky one for you!

mamacaz - so sorry to hear that you haven't had any success as yet - I hope something happens for you soon and you don't need IVF :hugs:

Splish n splash - I got your PM thankyou but wasn't sure if maybe I should wait to we are TTC again???!! So is it a secret group that nobody can look at or search for? I just don't really want anybody to know as yet that we will be TTC soon.

Hope everyone else is going well and lots of :babydust2: to you all.

Hi Mrs dolphin good to see there is someone else to talk to, was thinking i was all alone here. Heres hoping we wont be here that long. AF for me is due sun though had a bit of pink spotting today so just waiting to see what tomorrow brings. who would have thought that ttc would be so hard. Been a bit down lately as i never thought it would take so long to fall pregnant with number 2, just taking one day at a time.
Its good to have someone to talk to though out this journey.

Thanks ladies :hugs::hugs:. We are very devastated over our loss....but we feel confident now knowing that I can fall pg. It only took 3 1/4 years!! I just want this to be over so I can just get on with it and try again. We have appt with IVF 12th Nov for consultation but still hoping to fall pg naturally.

Welcome alliejj! We are a great bunch of girls who support eachother. Here's hoping that your ttc journey is short and sweet. Just hang in there....it's been 3 1/4 years that we've been ttc #2 and we aren't giving up now. I finally fell pg (3rd month on clomid) but still naturally so I'm proof that it can happen ;).

Looking forward to chatting to you girls. Have a wonderful weekend.
