Hi,
this is my 1st month ttc and off the pill and all last week I felt like i was going to throw up all day but never did and have had cramps on and off throughout each day.
According to i-village (fertility charting) it is unsure when I ovulated this month and had me down as infertile stage of cycle for last week onwards.

BUT I decided to login to fertility friend and record all my data and this week it has registered that it thinks that I ovulated on Tuesday just gone which puts me at 4 DPO now.

My question is as I assumed I was in the infertile stage, we didn't BD as much but have been bd'ing every 2-3 days this cycle. We BD on Monday night and according to ff I ovulated on Tuesday, do you think the timing may have been ok on Monday night?

My the question is how long roughly should the leutal (sorry about spelling) stage be in order for implantation? I am assuming that my period is coming on Tuesday/Wed but having never been off the pill I don't know how long my cycle now is.

What do you think? All this ttc is so confusing!
I would love any ideas on if you think maybe we are in for a chance and how come i-village still hasn't picked up my so called late ovulation in my infertile stage? i made sure I included all symptoms etc on both sites.

Hopeful Fi

Hi chloee42

How are you going now? The 1st month off the pill is so hard to predict- took me 6 weeks to get AF (I was on the pill for 15 years straight). I didn't start OPKs until I started the 3rd cycle off the pill.

I too didn't know what length my cycles would be so assumed a 28 day cycle and began OPK testing based on that- I got an LH surge CD 17.

When you get the surge- you should ideally BD the day of the surge, plus 3 days after (the last day is insurance if you ovulate late). If you don't know when you ovulate BD EOD is best.

The luteal phase is the more consistent part of the cycle- being generally 14 days long for most women. The big variation is the first stage of the cycle- the follicular phase ie the buildup from AF to ovulation.

Good Luck!
