View Full Version : Implantation Bleeding Question

Hi all, long time no chat :o

I know the answer is no doubt on here somewhere but I'll ask it anyway, lol.

When they talk about the spotting/bleeding that you can get when the egg implants, does anyone know at what stage during the cycle that normally happens? Also, is it like normal bright red blood? I never had this with my two boys so I'm unsure about it all.

By my charts I should have ovulated on Easter Monday or thereabouts. We BD'd on Monday. AF is due next Wednesday but I have had some red/pink mucus type discharge today which I'm not sure is the onset of a period or 'spotting'.

I'm just being impatient, but thought I'd ask the question.

Cheers

It could be either. I get spotting before my AF arrives, and the spotting starts about 4 days before hand....

This cycle I managed to conceive and the spotting was implantation. It started 5 days before my AF, so around 10 dpo and it was just a pinky/browny discharge but pinky red when I wiped. It went away when my AF was due.

Goodluck.

Well, my question was answered this morning. I woke up with AF :crying:. I'm never usually early so I was really hoping that it was implantation.

I just don't understand why it's so hard to conceive this time. We've been trying since October :(

Anyway, thanks for the response Craftymum.

Mummabear - :hugs:, Its a really hard rollercoaster. I fell PG with my DD within 6 weeks of trying, but then when trying for baby 2 we finally got our BFP this week after 21 months of trying. We have had every test possible with nothing found wrong and were about to start an ivf journey as it was just taking too long when we got a last minute bfp. Hang in there, I know its very hard mentally and emotionally. I have everything crossed for a bfp for you very soon :hugs:

Thanks guys. It took 6 months with DS1 and then DS2 was immediate. I know 6 months this time around is not really that long but we all know when you're on the journey it seems like forever! Oh well, just more BDing to do, lol.

Manxie - a moderater now  nice one!
