It's been hell here for past 4 days. DD refuses to nap all together! Shes overtired, but everytime I put her in a big cradel where she normally naps in, she pulls herself up and doesn't sleep. I give up and let her play but she doesn't want to because she's so tired. There are too many possibilities that can interrupt her sleep though

1. Teething - her bottom teeth came through 2 weeks ago. I suspect the front teeth may be coming. Gave her bonjela, chewing toys, Brauer teething gel - nothing seems to work wonder.
2. New developmental milestone - like I said, she has learnt to pull herself up and now she's too obsessed doing it even when she's supposed to sleep.
3. Seperation anxiety. She sees me, she wants me. I leave her, she cries. You get the picture. I left her in her cradle once and I think she's too exhausted, so went to sleep. Woke up 30 mins later...which normally she naps for 1-2 hrs each time.

I've tried everything (no CC in this house though). I lie down with her - nope, take her out for a walk and came back to try again - nope, put her in a slin - nope, darken the room - nope, music - nope. WTF!!! :banghead: I feel I'm losing the plot... God still takes pity on me I suppose coz she still sleeps so well at night (co-sleep), although I don't want to brag too much about it coz I might jinx it.

What else can I do? I'm taking her to our GP tomorrow for a check-up so hopefully she'll have some answers...I just wish I can survive today. I'm having a headcold, my house is a mess, I haven't had a decent thing to eat arrggghhh:banghead:

Hopefully by now things have settled down for you. My little one went through something similiar to this recently.

Have you tried putting her in her cot ( if she has one). I put Liv in a sleeping bag for ALL her sleeps. For starters, its a cue for sleep and she can't stand up as easily, although sometimes still manages. I have had to lower her mattress, so really prevent her from doing this.

I'm finding at the moment Liv is being wierd with her naps. She normally has 2x 1 1 /2 sleeps, now she is having only 40 - 1hr. So I have decided to try and cut her sleeps to one to see how she goes with that. The transition part is the hardest, as they get tired and grumpy easily. But touch wood, I have kept Liv up an extra hour today and she has so far slept for just over an 1 1/2 :fingerscrossed: .

You will probably find though, that it is just a phase and that she will outgrow it. Just keep doing what you would normally do ie, putting her to bed, so she knows that she still has to sleep and the routine is not changing, but like I said, bear in mind, you may need to alter her routine a little.

Best of luck, let me know how you go.
