My DS will be 12 mths old in a week so im looking into my options on wat i can feed him (milk wise)

My two options are S26 Toddler formula, is it any good? are all the extras a benefit?

Or my other option is Pura milk u no the one for kids ova 12 mths, is this a full cream milk? it is just as good as formula?

Wat do other mummys use? wat is best?

TBH toddler formula has alot of sugar in it. Read the labels next time you head to shops.

As for kiddy milks, just read labels as to how many vitamins are in them, as some are just a marketing ploy, and you are better off (financially) to buy normal full cream milk.

I just use normal full cream milk for DD.

Thanks RowieA for ur reply, ekkk i wouldnt want to give my DS anything full of sugar. As for the kiddy milk, its sad its all just maketing ploy, i will check the label next time im at the shops, as for price its only $3.80 for two liters.

I have to admit I did give DD toddler formula - but be aware it does have a LOT of sugar.

I also actually now give her the kiddy milk stuff :o - it actually has less sugar than juice, so as a treat she will get 'pink milk' (though I actually put 1/2 pink milk and half normal milk into a cup )

Anwyay - it depends on your individual situation and choice, just be aware that the toddler formulas while they do have some extra vitamens and stuff, they have a LOT extra sugar.

I know others will disagree (with the whole cows milk for cow babies side of thing), but if J is eating well then you may find the kiddy milk is a bit pointless.....like with adults, their body can absorb only a set amount of vitamins and minerals and discretes the rest anyway...which is why people with a decent diet don't actually benefit from vitamin tablets

M's been on normal milk since 9 months (CHN suggestion since he flat out refused formula or EBM during the day when I went back to work)....on days that he doesn't eat so well I do give him a dose of pentivite (toddlers liquid vitamin) but that's only occured max of once a week, because he'll generally eat a variety of food on any given day.....I'd also be cranky at using any more expensive options in this house...the amount of milk that goes to waste between the 2 of them can be ridiculous some days!!!

I don't think there's a 'better' option amoungst what you've suggested- just what suits you better...
