hi
i am new to this forum. but i have read a number of posts about reflux. but i do need some info. my bf 11 month old girl is regurgitating and burping alot more often after solid food then bf. she is allergic to cows milk, rice and corn. so i am limited with what to feed her. i recently went to my health nurse and she suggested going back to the doctor to get diagnosis of reflux. also to see a dietician. i did see my doctor when she was 4 months with poor weight gain but he couldn't find anything wrong. and probably because she smiled at him the whole time. :yes:a month ago i saw another health nurse and she said that she might have reflux. i have since done research on reflux and my baby has all the classic sympotms.it would've been nice to know months ago. since then her weight gain has slowed again and is on 5 bf a day and and 3 solid feeds although most of the food is refused.
my question is why is reflux worse at night when my baby has to spend 1.5 hours burping before she will settle for bed. she wakes 2-3 times a night because of burping, regardless of what she has eaten.
i am considering going back to my doctor to see what is next to be done. i am reluctant to try medication but i will if i have to.
also do you know what are the side-affects if any on the medication? and are their homepathic remedies? oh she is allergic to chamomile as well.
sorry to ramble on:ecomcity: but i have alot of questions.
any help would be very much appreciated.
thanks.

Welcome to bubhub!

I am very new to the whole reflux thing so I can't really give you any information on homeopathic remedies.

There is a section on here where you can post your questions on reflux and you will probably get more of a response there from some ladies who are very wise on this topic.

Here is the link

I hope this helps.
