Hi,

I'm sorry if this sounds naive or ignorant but whats the difference between swaddling and wrapping???

To my knowledge I dont think theres any difference, but I could be wrong!

My understanding is that swaddling is when you wrap them tightly so that their hands can't escape and they can't move around. Wrapping is a looser form of swaddling where they have room to move and get their hands free if they need it.

(of course I am always happy to be corrected!)

Funny thing ... someone asked the same question at parent's group a few weeks ago - according to the nurse there, they are the same thing. All I know is that my little man LOVES being wrapped - he has totally connected it with going to bed, so that when he is wrapped, he gets sleepy ! Bless him !!
