Hi there,
My hubby has been in the Army for 4 years now and is located at 4RAR Sydney. Just wondering if there was any army mum's out there with babies (or preg!) who would like to catch up?
I've been to one Army wife coffee thing but they all had older kids so I felt a little out of the loop!
Anyway, hope that there is someone out there like me!:p
Hi,
I'm not in Sydney but wanted to say hi anyway. My fiance is at 6RAR, we were posted here from Singleton earlier this year. He has been pre-deployment training in Darwin since April & leaves in August for 6-7 months in Afghan. We have a 6 month old son, Kayden.
Hope to chat more to you soon
Sharon

Hi Ali
I'm in Sydney! I'm not a mum yet, but hubby and I are working on it
My hubby is in the navy and is currently on a 6 month deployment to Iraq. He has been gone for 4 months so far, and returns in 57 days (yes, I'm counting the days but I'm sure you understand)
I would love to meet up with you for a coffee any time that your up for it
Hi Ali
My first post ever so hopefuly this works but couldn't not reply since I am an army wife living in the same suburb as you. Have probably seen each other at the local shops!
I'm due eary Jan and hubby is away on course for most of the rest of the year although he does visit home every couple of weekends.
Must admit I don't attend many of the army wife functions. Never seem to have much in common with most of the other wives and (until now) always the only one without kids.
Please get in touch if you are still looking for someone to catch up with. And you too Pink Lady!!

Hi!
I'm Nikki, I currently live with my folks in Taree, but I am originally from the NSW Central Coast. I will be moving to Moorebank in September when DP begins holding/IETs, by then I would have had our 2nd baby (I'm due Sept 6th).
Would love to meet up when I move, as our DPs are the same age!
Take care!

Hello,
Pink Lady - My hubby isn't currently deployed so I guess that means I can't go? Not to worry, I have family staying this week so I'd probably give it a miss anyway. Thanks for the invite!
Cat13 - Oh you must be lonley without your partner! If you'd like to come around for a coffee one day, pm me and we can arrange a date! I dont really go to any Army wife events either, most of the women are alot older with older kids than me and I feel a bit awkward!
I have a 6 month old bub, and am living in Wattle Grove. My husband is at Holsworthy.
Would love to catch up with other mums. However my hubby is going away for the month of August and I am visitng my parents. But can catch up when I get back.
What is the DCO function?>

Hi Ladies,
My name is Karlie and I'm a journalist for That's Life magazine. I'm currently working on our ANZAC Day issue and would love to talk to the wives/partners whose other half is deployed overseas in the army. We want to know how you cope with them being overseas, how you pass the time, do you write letters, etc and how proud you are of them.
We have a huge readership with a lot of family/friends in the army. We want to do a positive story that they can relate to.
You would be paid for your time and the copy would be read back to you over the phone.
Please contact me at karlie.jeffrey@pacificmags.com.au if you are interested...
Thanks
Karlie
