Our new family member.

Hi all!
I just wanted to share my news with y'all. Hubby and I have adopted a pooch from a local rescue and pick him up tomorrow!
His name is Maxx and he's a Black/White and Tan Fox Terrier.
He's approx. 10-12 months old and just the cutest.
We already have an almost 4 year old staffy girl and I took her to meet him yesterday and they seem to get along fine.
I am sure it will be a challenging road ahead but we are up for it!
I will keep you all updated of his progress.

Congrats on the new family member and for choosing to adopt! :)
I adopted a Mastiff x Staffy last August and she is such a good dog. They know they are special and seem so grateful for giving them a second chance.

The main problems I have had with my dog is trying to undo the things her previous owner thought was ok for her to do. Like killing things!
A bit of hard work but they are worth it. Plus you always have the plus of getting an older dog that is toilet trained!:smiliedance:
Good Luck with Maxx, please post some pics and feel free to ask if you have any worries about an adopted pet. I know its not all easy.

When I first knew I was getting Kimba I brought her a blanket and slept in it, It sound gross but I made sure it was really smelly and left it with her at the RSPCA until we brought her home. That way she knew our scent and I think she was a bit more comfortable when we introduced her to our home.

With a smaller dog you could probably use a T-shirt instead and put in in his bed to get to know you a bit better.

fox terriers are just the best,i had them as pets when i was younger,they are just the most loyal and loving pet anyone can have.

i hope maxx enjoys his new home that you have provided for him :D

Well, Maxx seems to be settling in just fine.
There has been a few little tiffs between him and my staffy, but all in all it's going great!!
He's such a sweet little fellow. Very loving and playful. He is a little perplexed about the baby but I am sure he will learn to love her just as much as our other dog does.

I have taken a couple of pictures with his new coat on, but right one cue, my camera starts playing up!
Also, I am not sure I would know how to load photos onto here?
