Hi
Here's a bit of background. I'm 26 and my husband just turned 30. I went off the pill in Jan 08, had a period for 5 months (they were just starting to become regular) and then they stopped. After waiting a while, having preg tests and going to the doctor, I was eventually (in nov) told to go back on the pill for a month to see if that would trick my body into having a period again. I had hormone tests, and when (after going off the pill again and not having a period at all) I went back to the Dr in Jan, he told me my testosterone levels were high. He said he hadn't thought it was pcos because I'm thin (size 10-12) but he sent me to a gyno and for an ultrasound. I had the ultrasound, which showed no folices on the outside, but the general consensus from both docs is polycystic ovaries. She prescribed primulot N to bring on a bleed, then 50mg clomid on days 2-6. I had my 21 day blood test and was told my progesterone levels were -1. I didn't think it was possible to have a minus amount!! That was a couple weeks ago, I am going back to the gyno next week but I live in the country and it takes a while to get appointments (and a days travel). Just wondering about anyone else's experiences - what should the levels be? I assume she will just tell me to try it again or take a higher dose, but I want to know what other people have experienced. Thanks!!!

Hi Dani

I don't want you to feel unwelcome here, but there is a PCOS section right above this TTC section :D

I'm sure they would be able to offer you excellent advice.

I hope everything works out for you :goodvibes:

Hi I don't know if this may help you, but I have recommended a few friends to a naturapath for a course of False Unicorn and all have fallen straight away, Heavy period to start on it and I am not sure if this triggers levels back to normal, But it worked for them and maybe a naturapath can help you.Good Luck

:hugs:Rn and DH 34 :laughing:DS 3yrs 6mths :baby:BUB due July

Your levels should be at least 20 to indicate ovulation. I wasn't aware you could get minus levels either that's interesting.
My cd21 bt levels are usually in the 30's. There is a clomid support thread in assisted conception up the top as well as pcos thread. Good luck i hope the doctors can help you.
