How common is it not to ovulate each month? Has anyone experienced all negative OPK's testing every day since the end of their period up until day 25?

Hi There:wave: ive been useing OPK`s and i would start testing on CD 10 since my cycles are all over the place. I kept having negative test after test and finally got a postive on cd 26  so my advice is to keep testing untill you get a postive, i know it annoying and frustration but it worth it in the end. I use the cheapy ebay one`s and i found them to be great and cheap enought i test every day.

thanks for your reply...i thought that ovualting late in your cycle then you run into the problem of having a short leutal phase?? i have been testing in previous months and last month ovulated on day 14 and 15.
thanks for your advice!!!

Your welcome :flowerz: my last LP was 12 days so i can change it. Ive also started taking vitex again this month, it helps to regulate your cycles. Ive been on it before and it helped so i guess i should keep taking it. I take it from when AF finished untill when i ovulate.

you need to be careful with vitex if the reason you aren't ovulating regularly is because of pcos the vitex can actually make your cycle worse. If you have any concerns i'd go and see your gp good luck

Hi there  Before having my DS my cycle every month was 33 days - that was 'normal' for my body. Since I had DS and got AF again (1 yr now) my cycle ranges from about 35 - 42 days, mostly seems to 39-40 days, but I still always have a 14 day luteal phase. I guess my body just takes a while to get going after AF. I have taken Vitex before but it usually only shortens my cycle by a few days, it usually makes it around 36 days. You just have to be careful that you stop taking the Vitex as soon as you've Ovulated as there have been links to m/c.
If you're concerned by your cycle then see your GP and they may be able to give some answers.

Hi there,
Ive read on the opk that it is not recommended if you have pcos. But i still use them and chart my temp to see if they coincide. I got a positive on day 16 of my cycle but my temp showed no change until about a week b4 my af. Which coincidently was a couple of days after i started vitex. Iv been told by a couple of naturopaths to take it all through my cycle & to take 3 first thing in the morning cos it make your piturity glands work better. I got My af 3 days ago & so ive also started taking aust bushflower essence. 2 sprays in the morning &2 @ night until I ovulate. I also have been taking conceive well gold for over a month.
Don't know if this helps, but when i stopped the pill the first time i ttc #1 i didn't get a af for 6 weeks.
Goodluck

Hi, I used maybe baby, the saliva test, to see when I was ovulating. It's pricey but you can constantly reuse it. I
found I was only ovulating every second month on the 17th day on a 28 day cycle.
It took us us a bit longer to get pregnant this time with #4, about a year, compared to the others, which were usually within about 6 months. My age could also be a factor with the ovulating.
