Hi,

I just got to six months (well tries) and no BFP. Any others in that 6 - 12 month ttc place? Just looking for some support to keep me trying.

It is a really hard place to be.

Thanks :o

Hi there!

Firstly I just wanted to say that I'm not in the 6-12 month phase.
The reason I came in this thread is because I wanted to let you know that I think you're wonderful! I've been reading your diary and following your journey and your strength is amazing! I can only imagine what you're going through and you seem so courageous.

Sorry but I just wanted to throw my support behind you and I really hope you don't give up!

Know that I have my :fingerscrossed: and I'm sending as much :babydust2: as I have your way!

Hi girls - yup, this is me!! May brings us to the 10th month TTC, and I have to say, this month has been the hardest for me because I feel like maybe it will never happen?? I'm starting to worry big time, and I worry that the worry is why we're having no luck, but how do you relax?? There isn't a button that you can just switch to "I don't really care if it doesn't happen" mode!
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. After all the lovely ladies in the TTC 6+ months thread left me due to being UTD, I'm thinking there's hope for you all :fingerscrossed:

Hi everyone

DH and I have also been TTC#1 for the past 6 months with no luck. Was feeling down today as AF has just arrived and wanted to post a message to find other women who might be feeling all of the same emotions as me. Was thrilled to see your post Green mum to be!

I know exactly how everyone is feeling. It's driving me crazy! Even when you're pretty sure it's not going to be your month when AF does arrive it's crushing. You start doubting yourself. What are you doing wrong? What else can you do? Is it EVER going to happen?

DH is supportive but just doesn't understand. He tells me not to stress about it and that it will happen when it happens. I know this is good advice but it's easier said than done.

I'm glad I've got the bub hub girls to keep me positive.:wizard:

Hey girls  We're coming around to about the 8 month mark, and I'm actually quite excited... they text books tell us it is "normal" for a couple to conceive in 6 - 12 months. This means we are now in prime time! Every month the odds go up! We're all at least six BIG steps closer to conceiving than any of the ladies just starting out. That is exciting. Chins up, honeys! :goodvibes:

You're absolutely right Preggy siren. Any month now :fingerscrossed: In a couple of months we'll all be wondering why we wasted so much time worrying, questioning, etc.

Hi there girls!
We are coming to the end of cycle number 9 so I have a feeling we may make it to the 12month mark.
It's been a rollercoaster of emotions this journey as it only took us 3months to concieve DS2.
In a way now I am glad that it has taken a little longer than we planned I feel like the big man has a plan for us.
DS2 is quite clingy and taken longer to become independant, he's a real mummies boy. Where as Ds1 was very independant from an early age and coped well with having a new baby brother ( he's daddy's boy lol).
So in a way it has worked out well DS2 will be that much older by the time we have our next baby and things may not be as difficult had we fallen pregnant last August when we had started TTC.
I could have had a baby by now and I think woah could have been hard with a clingy toddler and a new born.

So yeah thats me I hope we all some BFP's very soon:babydust2::babydust2::babydust2::babydust2: :babydust2:

Hi, I unfortunately have to join this club.:crying: I'm not sure why, but the 6th month mark was devastating. I've been so upset and no doubt, horrible to be around. Mind u, as Preggy Siren's gorgeous attitude is, we r one step closer. Love ur spirit hun. So, taking her advice, I am trying to do just that. :fingerscrossed: to everyone and I hope that we all get our BFP's soon. Take care everyone. xo

Hi girls

I found out today that one of the girls I work with is pregnant. She's been ttc since January this year. Even though I'm happy for her, my mood has taken a serious dive bomb tonight. Hopefully back to the positive thinking tomorrow. I just felt like I needed to post a message. Feels very cathartic. Thanks for listening (reading).

:hugs: baibee, it's so hard to have pregnancies around you when it's taking some time to conceive... but I hear it's great for your body. They say surround yourself with pregnant women & babies and you'll be pregnant in no time!

I met a work friend's gorgeous 6-week-old today. And then cluck-cluck-clucked all the way home. AF arrived for me yesterday, so here goes another month! C'mon lucky June :D

Babydust to all you TTCers :babydust2:

:hugs: from me too baibee

I have a baby shower next weekend and i'm not quite sure how i'm going to do it. Dp and i made the cake so i'm expected to make an appearance... she has promised that is all i have to do. In hello out.

PreggySiren is right. My dr said the same thing, being around pregnant women and babies makes you more fertile. Everytime you see her you should consider it an opportunity and get really really close... hug her a lot and tell her how excited you are. You WANT those hormones to rub off on you! Just watch too much inappropriate touching... she may get the wrong idea  I hope that makes you smile at least!

I should take my own advice!

Thanks PreggySiren and Green Mum to be:)

I'm currently working in child care so am around children all the time (4yr olds though). GMTB, you did make me smile. I might have to become 'friendlier' with my work mate and with all the pregnant mums. Also, have a friend who is due in 3 months. Maybe I should catch up with her again soon:yes:

Have a great weekend everyone:thumbsup:

I didn't know that being around babies helped in TTC :detective:. I wonder how our local mummies group would mind if I just popped in for a play with the babies every week - do you think they'd call the police or anything? Truly, I don't have any contact with babies at all.
Preggysiren sorry to hear AF arrived. My prediction is June is going to be your month! I hope my intuition is better that your DH.
Baibee I know what you mean. It's not that you don't want other people to be happy, it's just that you're secretly not happy. :hugs:
Greenmumtobe Our cycles are almost in sync. How is your TWW going? For some reason, I just don't have a great feeling about this cycle. Hope we both have luck this month though
Shaz82 Beach house sounds nice - doing anything that exciting this weekend?
Kerrie, Kat and everyone else I may have missed - how are you all going?
AFM - have to work all day, and hoping DH takes me out for dinner tonight. I'm ssoooo over cooking lol

LOL nope nothing this weekend. Well tomorrow i get breaky in bed and flowers apparently. The kids got their pocket money today so they can get them LOL. James even has a little laminated card from school that he signed saying he will get them. So i have told adam that he can take them in in the morning and then get me a macca's breakfast. Love sausage and cheese mc muffens.
What are you guys up to for mothers day?

Heh Sparkle, I'm plodding along. I'm on CD21. Feel positive sometimes. Unfortunately found out my dad has cancer again, so am utterly shattered. He has to have radium treatment for 6weeks and then see. Talk about a ****ty way to keep my mind off TTC. Hope everyone else is getting closer to their BFP. :fingerscrossed::babydust2:

:hugs: kat76, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I pray that the radium treatment will work, and he doesn't need further treatment. I agree, that is the most horrible way to keep your mind of TTC.

Thanks Sparkle hun. I have a great family and friend network (especially in here) Just have to stay positive. He needs to be around when I have my next bub!! Morning everyone. I hope everyone had a lovely mothers day.

Does anyone know anything about the length of cycles changing?? I have had AF arrive this morning at 9DPO, but last cycle I was a week late. Before that I had 2 perfectly normal 28 day cycles, and prior to that my LP was approximately 9 - 11 days. Obviously I am very down this morning.

Sorry about the ME post guys, but any help would be greatfully accepted

 Hi Riss. Good luck Friday, and I hope everything starts going in the right direction for you. I feel exactly the same about Doctor's - I don't trust them. I feel like it's not their life so they don't really care. Sounds like you have finally found someone to listen to you which is great.

How is everyone else doing?

AFM - just waiting for AF to leave the building so I can wait for O, and then another 2WW :D

hi sparkle, thanks. yeh its great to find someone that actually takes me seriously.. not like the other doctor who told me when i was 19 that having pain during sex happens as you get older.. argh i just wanted to hit him.. typical male though.. now the female doctor i have is excellent.. couldnt ask for any better..

im getting a little nervous now but thats ok, im only human i guess lol.. everything else is sorta ok.. just plodding along i guess.. i hate the uncertainty thats all..

Its good to see you back Riss!
I am doing ok right now. For those that havent read the tww thread my dad gave us all a big shock by braking his back on the weekend. He is on the mend as much as posibul now.
My boobs are sore but other than that nothing. Got no idea when AF is due thanks to her mucking around last month sigh.

Hi everyone, I'd like to join this thread too if I may. DH and I have been TTC for 8 months now, and I think I'm hindering it by stressing out about it. But this month I have been trying to relax and not observe any signs of ovulation just regular BDing so hopefully that will relax me a little more and might actually work!

I know how you feel. It took us 3 years with DD1 and I was obsessed in the end! DD2 only took 5 months, but we are now trying for #3 and we are at the 6 month mark now. We decided to only try for 6 months for different reasons and I am so sad that it didn't happen for us. I know I should be grateful to have 2 beautiful little girls but it is just the finality of it all. Hang in there. It can take time with your first and you are only young so don't give up! Have you and the donor been tested for anything that might be stopping you conceiving?

Hi all

I think I'm in the TTW. I have been using OPKs for the first time this month but haven't had a positive test yet (am on CD20). Most days I have only tested once in the afternoon so probably need to do it more often next month. CM has also been drier than previous months (sorry if TMI). This is why I only think I'm in the TTW and don't know for sure. I could be one of those women that OPKs just don't work for. Who know?? Will let you all know if/when i hit the 7 month mark (fingers crossed for not hitting it).

How's everyone else going? I hope you all have a great weekend. I'm planning on having a relaxing, stress free one.

Take care:wizard:

My husband and I have been TTC now for 7 months.

We're doing BBT charting, I was on Vitex to regulate my cycles in the beginning, we've now been using pre-seed for 2 months. I was so positive at the start of this cycle.I'd read somewhere that 94% of couples my age conceive within 12 months of trying, so I felt confident it would happen soon enough.

I have a 28 day cycle now after using vitex and normally ovulate on day 12 or 13 each cycle, I'm now day 14 and my temp is still low and OPK still neg. Sorry , am ranting but does anyone know if it is normal to not ovulate during a cycle?? This is all getting me really down..:gloomy: I have broken my ankle too and it just makes it all so much worse. I have a lot more time to sit around thinking.

Hi everyone. It's been quiet in here

Riss How did your tests go on Friday? I hope you got some answers and can start moving forward.
Shaz82 How's your dad going? I hope you are not too stressed.
Greenmumtobe Where are you??? How is everything going?
Blondie I don't know that it is "normal" to not ovulate during a cycle, but completely possible. That's terrible about the ankle too. :hugs: Sounds like you're having a pretty hard time.
 Everyone else. I hope you all had a good weekend, and we have lots of :bfp: coming.
AFM - waiting to O, and then onto another 2WW. Hoping to see a doctor this week, and praying he listens to me. My cycles are so irregular, and am sick of waiting and seeing. What if it never happens? Rant over!

Hi Ladies, I too have hit the 6 month mark. Not an exciting achievment! I really did think that i would have gotten my bfp by now, it seems like such a distant dream....
AFM- I am waiting to O which should be this weekend so lots of BD'ing for us then the dreaded 2WW and testing on the 7th.
When is everyone else's testing date??

Hi Sparkle, laparoscopy went well.. they did find endometriosis but only a small amount which she removed.. my tubes are all clear and everything else looks healthy and normal.. she said that usually after checking the tubes most women tend to fall straight away, but im not getting my hopes up, just gonna wait and see :D

hope your appt with the dr goes well.. and if he doesnt listen then go find another one that will ;)

I'm so confused .... I started using opk's this month and only ever got a dark pink second line , not like the dark red one shown on the packets. Occording to the opk I didn't ovulate but bbt says otherwise. Guess I'll just wait it out and see what happens. My temps follow the same pattern every month and has two definate phases.
Oh well, :fingerscrossed: and baby dust to all :babydust2:

Hi Jaawest. It's not an achievement any of us like is it ! I'm due to O on the weekend also, and I have put my testing date as the 8th. After my last cycle only 22 days, hoping I will hang out that long this time. Hope you are very "busy" over the next few days :D

:fingerscrossed: Riss, that sounds promising. I hope you get plenty of action this month, and I'm sure we'll see you posting good news soon!

Blondie84, I'd say you are O'ing if your temps indicate it. I personally have stopped using OPK's as they were driving me nuts! Good luck this month.

AFM - Off to see the Dr today - not my usual one. A good friend recommended this one to me. After TTC for 3 years, she had a gorgeous little girl on Saturday. So :fingerscrossed: he can wave his magic wand for me too
