Just wondering if there are others out there with my problem?

My DD still has no teeth, no bumps, no whiteness, nothing at 14 months. She likes to chew things and can eat a ham & cheese sandwich no worries.

The main problem we have is that she has a heck of a rash all over her face from saliva - she drools constantly... I just don't remember the drool being so bad with my DS. When she woke from her afternoon nap today, the rash was even on her forehead! She obviously slept in her drool!

Creams don't seem to be helping (we have tried lanolin based, paw paw ointment & zinc based cream). We've taken acidic foods out of her diet for a few days, without any change.

I am also worried that her speech development may suffer.

She is otherwise a happy, healthy, funny & beautiful little girl.:hugs:

Any commiserations or suggestions?

No suggestions just commiserations

My DD1 ( Who is now 15 ), walked before she got her first teeth!

The only thing I found was that when they start coming through late, they just seem to pop one after the other, so you may have a short time of really painful teething, but then it is all over!

I was also concerned and had visions of my kid having a gummy mouth forever!
I'm sure that all will be fine

Good luck and happy teething :D

I was concerned with my DD as her first tooth was 'really out at 14 months' one day we were out and she had opened her mouth and i was like OMG i seen 2 bottem teeth coming through, no sign of it at all was still the same little girl.

everyone told me the later they get the teeth the better and i beleive it is SO true.

My DD is now 17 mths and now has 4 teeth with no problems at all, sleeps through the night they dont bother her at all, now i am starting to see other teeth coming through as well, (see another 4up the top) but yeah she is tough!

DD was munching on everything at 6mths even my mum was scared that she will chock on some food as she LOVED her solids, (didn't really like her puree foods perfered the lump stuff!!

My 12month old has had teeth coming up from 6months the gum then swells and the teeth disappear they never cut through. They give her grief because she bites everything and thats when they swell. Is this normal?

Yes, normal. If you are worried check your ultrasound pics. You can often see the teeth buds. If there is no teeth by 18 months, then it is time to investigate further.
