Hi Motherof 4

I am not using QFG but there are others on the Trying to conceive forums who are I think. My Dr is int he asme building as the Brisbane QFG and I must say the number of preggy ladies in the lift looks very encouraging! Good luck!

I've been through QFG in Townsville and they are great there. My cousin has been with QFG in Toowoomba. She just completed her sixth attempt (2 IVF and 4 FET) and she is now pregnant with twins.
She says Dr Esler is terrific.

I am going through QFG at the moment and have nothing but praise to write. Particularly love the laboratory staff who are very helpful, kind and informative and of course my obstetrician - Dr Keeping. He's amazing.

Good luck!

PS Forgot to add that we fell pregnant with our little miracle on our first attempt. Wew are currently waiting for the results of our first FET cycle. They seem to have good success rates.

Can't help with QFG.
But Dr Esler was my gyno when I lived in Tmba and he is wonderful.
He is also my best friends obstetrician and delivered her son after a pretty complicated pregnancy - she speaks really hightly of him as well.
Good luck :)

Gee, I'm glad you started this thread Mo4.
I'm in NSW but look like I'll need to travel to QLD due to the lack of Sperm Donors at my clinic. I was actually looking at QFG as I've heard they have the largest sperm bank and that Dr DeAmbrosio (sp?) will do just about anything to help us get pg.
Good luck!

Warren DeAmbrosis is the creator of all! YEP he is. He was my Dr as well! I LOVE him. We are gonna go back next year and see him if we can't do it on our own again.

Hello, This will be my first message, hope no one minds. I was interested to read motherof4's message. I am in the process of considering QFG for ivf, (partner had a vasectomy 4 years ago). I have been informed it is my only option. We will see them in four weeks, I am wondering if anyone else has been to them in Toowoomba, what the costs are and any success stories.

Good Luck to all

Hi Four boys

My DH had a vasectomy reversal in the UK 4 yrs ago although it initially worked it doesn't anymore. I'm new to QFG Brisbane and the vast difference them and the UK clinic and the wesley is amazing. If i'd gone to somewhere like QFG initially I'd have had a very different journey. Vasectomy reveral is expensive cost us about £4,000, my Dr at QFG said they'd have convinced my to go directly for IVF as it would have been the best option for us. I admit I didn't want IVF initially, but if someone had informed us that 18% of successful vasectomys stenoised in the first yr, and that our chances of a pregnancy would be greatly improved with ICSI then with all the information i would probably have gone for IVF.

After my visit to QFG I felt I had reached home, everyone was so supportive and kind and friendly. I'm so happy to have found them. Unfortunately it's to late to use my own eggs so we are on the waiting list for an embryo donor or egg donor :fingerscrossed:

YES YES YES QFG are Fantastic:smiliedance:

Thankyou everyone for replying. Sorry reversal didnt work, we considered it but for the same amount of discomfort (on his behalf of course) we would have more success with IVF. We have our first meeting with QFG in Toowoomba in four weeks and them we will have to see if there is any chance that we will be able to go ahead ( not sure if any sperm will be viable.) I hope that leisurly finds the angels she is looking for. Motherof4, when will you be visiting or are you still trying to decide. Good Luck to all and thankyou again for sharing.

I'm echoing Leisurly's comments. And, I've come up from NSW.
I had my first three appointments on Monday (known SD) with Dr Warren D, Gloria Hynes and Julie Bray. All so helpful, friendly and organised. I only wish I'd found them years ago.

4tiggers: We had our ICSI interview with The nurse at Dr Esler's surgery two days ago. They were wonderful. We have only been TTC for 10 months and I was referred to Esler for PCOS. He doesn't waste ant time or money. Everyone there is so understanding - The nurse that did our interview was awesome. She explains everything really clearly.
We are just waiting for AF so that we can book in for ICSI.
I really appreciated their honesty. Good luck keep us posted on how you go.

We went through QFG Townsville. Loved the staff, receptionists, nurses, lab staff etc.

Our FS was lovely, conservative and careful. All the things we wanted.

We got a BFP on our first fresh cycle at QFG, after a failed fresh and FET from another cycle at another clinic in another State. The differences between the two clinics was huge.

Can not recommend the Townsville QFG any more highly.
