Ok, so this is really not an all important question, but with 2 and a bit weeks to go it has started playing on my mind....
How do you sing Happy Birthday to your twins? Do you do separate songs or together and do you just sing the normal Happy Birthday to you line or do you sing Happy Birthday to you two????
The girls won't even know what is going on being only 1, but if we video it and I'm sure we will, they will be able to watch it in future.
DF is so going to laugh at me when I tell him I posted this and am worried about it... but hey that's just me!!
Thanks!
Leanne
My bro and sister are twins
we always sung to them together - but mum was always firm that it wasnt
Happy birthday to you
happy birthday to you
happy birthday to the twins....
it was
Happy birthday to you
happy birthday to you
happy birthday to K & T
to keep them as individuals.... :)

We do:
Happy birthday to you
happy birthday to you
happy birthday to DD2 & DD3
happy birthday to you
But DD1 has a friends that are twins and they light R's candles first and sing to her, then E's candles and sing to her. They know R was born 6hrs before E so R always gets sung to first.
Personally, we didn't want to draw attention to who was born first (a whole minute) and thought if we started doing one before the other then they may be fights later on about who gets to go first.

hi , congrats to you and your bubbies on there first birthday
it is not a stupid question at all i think it is a very good one
you may not think they notice but they do i think it is very important to sing to them one at a time so they each get there own song with there own name in it when its just a min all about them and if you can a cake each is lovely too rather than '' the twins cake '' they are both having a birthday just happens that is is on the same day so why shouldnt they each get a cake there own song , and to everyone out there who ever buys birthday cards for again '' the twins '' there own card ,
good luck
2littlemonkeys ;-) , just turned 2

We sing it together "happy birthday B1 & B2"... If you sing it one at a time you have to choose who goes first *shoots self in head*
They always always have separate cakes though.

sorry but if you sing one at a time or together you still have to deside who's name goes first :-) weather its just in one song or seperate songs

We have two seperate cakes (well arrangement of muffins/cupcakes)...two candles and only one song - SO FAR - they are only two!! We say A's name first as she was born first ( and it kinda rolls better of the tongue that way ;))
oh - and then we relight the candles so that their big bro can have a turn of blowing it out:rolleyes:
I guess as they grow older and can express their wants and needs about the whole thing we will change it ...who knows, when they are older (teens)they might want one party on the saturday and one on the sunday!!!
Happy Birthday to your little girls:goodvibes:

Thanks guys...we are definitely having a cake each so now it's just the song! We only have 50 seconds between the 2 of them one was born at 1:51 and the other 1:51:50 so can't even say they are separated by a minute!
And QTB it will not be to the Twins either, no way would my mum let that happen as she used to get that with her twin sister....
Thanks again!
