A while ago someone mentioned an excellent GP in the Norwest Business Park who is also a Pediatrian and is fantastic with children. I can't seem to find it anymore and tried to do a search. Please if it was you or you remember the thread, let me know. Seeking a good children's dr in the Baulkham Hills area.:)

Hi,
Not sure if I previously replied but there is Dr Ann Marie Christie ("The Children's Doctor") in Castle Hill 9680 2708 and also Dr Kumari at Rouse Hill 9629 6277 who is also great with kids.

Dr Ann Marie Christie is very popular and is always booked out especially during the winter season. If you want to see her on the day you ring in, chances are she's not going to be able to fit you in until the following day. Best to have a back up doctor if you want to make her your primary doctor.

She 's my DS primary doctor but too often I've tried to make an appointment and couldn't get in so am currenntly looking for a back up doctor. If anyone knows of a good gp please let me know.

Yes, I have to agree with sydney 123.
Last time, I booked in to see Dr. Christie in the afternoon (I was the last appointment for the day). But I waited for 45 mins and still no chance to see her. And then they asked me to see someone else in the clinic instead.

bagdersmum - does that mean that I'll need a referral to see Dr Donald Butler? Is a consultant pediatrician a pediatrican? if so, they wouldn't be seeing normal Cold/Flu type illnesses right?

garfield - I would not have been happy being asked to see another doctor. If you booked in to see Christie then you should be seeing her especially when she doesn't come cheap! Did you have to pay the same fees to see the other doctor?

I know on her day off she has a locum but I try not to go on those days. My friend saw the locum once and she misdiagnosed her DD. In fact my friend was quite sure what her DD had and tried to tell the locum but she wouldn't listen.

OP, I apologise if I've taken over your post. I'm very passionate about this topic at the moment as you can see I myself am trying desperately to find another doctor.

Sydney 123-Yes.. we still need to pay the gap for the other doctor. Exactly, if I have to pay the gap and seeing someone I don't know. I would rather go to a medical centre and just get bulk billed.

We had the same experience with the locum too. We tried not to go on Tuesday (I think Dr. christie's day off is Tuesday).

Thanks for recommending Dr. Christie but she is the one i normally go to for all my kids however like others have noted, hard to get a booking on the day!
I've tried dr. Jeff something? Wasn't too happy, maybe because im so used to Dr. Christie. I absolutely love the nurse, and again i forgot her name. She does all the immunisations and seems to have the correct answers for everything im not sure of. The bonus is you can bulk bill when you book to see her!

Still hoping someone can tell me about another great dr they once mentioned in norwest business park who is a GP/Ped too.:)

I used to see Dr Christie too but we have moved and Rouse Hill is closer. I would definately recommend Dr Kumari (can't spell her surname) at Rouse Hill and she also works from Glenwood some days. The number is 96296277. She is a GP. She is very thorough and has a very kind nature. She sees adults as well.

On the day i tried to get an appoint with Dr. Christie i'd rang up for Dr. Kumari and she was at another location so i didn't end up seeing her. Will keep her in mind for next time. Hopefully not soon, its takin over a month for the virus to move homes. Thanks

Hi there,

We have been using Dr Susan Sebeith at Castle Towers Medical Centre. She is fantastic. Very informative yet quite modern. She's great with my 2 year old taking time to listen and help. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait up there but when you request someone its so much quicker. Also there's another lady doc up there can't remember the exact spelling of her name but think it's Dr Twhe? She's there most days too.

As a Paed I use Dr Jeffery Chaitow. Wonderful. Will be asking to use him again when fall preg with no 2.

I believe the doctors at Norwest Med centre are supposed to be good with chn as well.

Good luck

Rach
