Meat loaf recipe please

Just wanting to know if anyone has a yummy meat loaf recipe as there are too many to choose from when googled.

Lazy Cook's Meatloaf

(feeds a hungry family)

LOAF
500g beef mince
500g pork mince
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 chopped onion
2 tsps minced garlic
tsp oregano
tsp basil
1tbsp parmesan cheese
salt
pepper

SAUCE
1 tin diced tomatoes
tomato sauce (ketchup is best)
BBQ sauce

Put all loaf ingredients in a large bowl and mash/smoosh/combine with your hands
Once well combined, shape into a loaf, pop it into a rectangular casserole dish
Pour over tin of tomatoes, smother loaf with lots of ketchup, drizzle over BBQ Sauce (I then like to combine the sauces a bit, smoosh them around with a spoon)

Plonk into a preheated 180 degree oven for 1hr 10 mins, slice and serve with rice and veg.

Yummm...i'm making meatloaf for dinner tonight. My recipe is similar to the others. I like to put grated carrot and zuccini in mine too. Sometimes i put peas and corn it aswell.

I've never made the tomato sauce that goes with it.... i may have to try that one. I usually melt a little plum jam in the microwave and paint it over the loaf with a pastry brush. It ends up like a sweet sticky coating....delicious! :chef:
