Does anyone know of places in perth that sell secondhand prams that are in good condition?
My hubby and I have found out we are having #2 and need to get a twin pram or tandem. We like the look of the Mountain Buggy twin but cant afford it (like $1200 new) or the Valco Runabout Twin (Basically we like 4wheel joggers). Because of the prices of a new pram we really want a secondhand one.
Not sure where you live but the Kindershop on Warratah Ave in Dalkeith has some fantastic secondhand prams (usually really good brands) not to mention designer clothes etc at bargain prices. Being in that area she will only take top quality second hand goods.
It's worth a look anyway.

Hi,
I know of a second hand babyshop in Bedford/Dianella but everytime i have been there it seems a bit yucky and dirty in the shop but i guess its worth a try or their is one in Mirrabooka I guess its depends on where you live. You might be better looking in the quokka or on ebay.
Goodluck. Sorry I wasn't much help.

There is a great secondhand baby shop on Winton Ave in Joondalup. It is kinda opposite Toys R Us. Cant remember the name, sorry. They have a great range of prams including twin/limo style prams. They are probably not as cheap as you would find them in some s/h shops, but they are in really good condition & still cheaper than buying them brand new.
There's a place in Clarkson called Cheeky Monkey that have a good range of prams not sure on price wise as I didn't look but all the other stuff was reasonably priced.
I'd probably have a look in the Quokka - that's where you are likely to get the best price for the specific pram that you are looking for.
The 2nd hand baby shops tend to over inflate their prices and the baby shop in bedford/dianella was rather icky last time I went in there too (6 weeks ago). They seriously need to give that shop a good clean...even some of the items for sale had crusted on baby muck it was pretty gross.
Something to keep in mind is that the newer the model of pram the less likely you are to find it 2nd hand.

Unfortunately the Quokka doesnt seem to have much i have yet to find either of these prams for sale secondhand. If someone sees one in the quokka drop me a line please!
I looked in the quokka and ebay for one but they all seemed to be dirty and really used but were still asking a high price. I live in SOR and found none of the 2nd hand shops good either. I did notice from yellow pages alot more 2nd hand baby shops seem to NOR have also heard the one in Joondalup is good.
I decided to look up the different companies on the internet to have a look at the tandem prams and then called around the baby shops for prices. I ended up getting the the love n care high rise brand new for $260, which is a bit but not much more than 2nd hand were asking.
Just be careful - i really like my pram but the baby sections on tandem are much shorter than normal prams and by 3 months my baby was hanging over the end. She sleeps much better in the standard pram not sure if this is why. Also the middle layback is uncomfortable on her neck but the others to far back or upright.
saying that i do still love my tandem pram and it is fantastic as a stroller for when DD does want to sit up, so will be better when she is sitting most of the time.
There is a mountain buggy twin (side by side - 4 wheels - with extra toddler seat) on ebay at the moment ... currently sitting on $37 and postage australia wide is listed as $25 .... is that kind of what you are looking for ?

Hi Are you still looking for a pram? I have a valco runabout2 twin pram. It is brilliant for excersing, I mainly used it for walks around the river and it was the envy of my walking buddies because it pushed so easily even when the kids got bigger. I live in Leeming (15 minutes south of the city just off the freeway). email me if your still looking for one.
