I am at the moment starting to freak myself out!

I stopped taking the pill three weeks ago got a period 5 days later and it was heavy but nothing to bad and only lasted for 4 days!
So that made yesterday O day, but for the last 3 days i have had bad o pain, not stopping me from doing anything bad, but there and today there is a bit of a sharp pain!

So i am not sure if it has anything to do with just coming of the pill or if there is something wrong with me, and i cant get to the doc till next week!

So just thought i would check with you lovely people to see if anyone else has had the same sort of thing!

Thank you

Hi  I've noticed with my cycle that I get light ovulation pain (kind of like light AF cramps) for about 2 days on and off around Ov time. I'd say it's normal but if it's really bothering you then definitely see your GP about it. And seeing as though it's your 1st cycle off the pill it could be that your body is adjusting therefore making the Ov pain a little more intense.

:iagree: I tend to get this every month! But its been worse if I have just come off the pill or its my cycle returning after having a baby. Its so annoying isn't it!!!

I get quite severe ov pain every month, and it's comparable in intensity to PP. Ugh, i have it right now and it is making me a little crabby!

Hi smilewithme,
I am in the same boat as you! I have just come off the pill 3 weeks ago, had my normal period and then Easter Sunday I spent 4 hours on the couch with a heat pack in massive pain (worse than period pain). My hubby thought it was eating too many easter eggs :shame: but the pain was much lower than my tummy.

This week I have had pain on and off all week, like cramps and according to my fertility chart I have either just ovulated or just about to. I didn't know what to think of the cramps. Initially I thought it was just my body coming off the pill and didn't even know if I would be able to ovulate first month of the pill.

I am hoping that this ovulation pain will get better each month!
Good to know I am not the only one too! I am such a wuss, I know I will freak out when I am actually pregnant to every pain and movement! Oh dear!

Let me know how you get on and if you did ovulate.

Hi Ladies,

How are we all, I am glad this seems the norm, I get this pain each month! I had some test done when I first noticed how bad this pain gets, there is a special name like mid...... something something something but I have forgotten it, however this is what my Dr told me, When it is around the time for the egg to release itself it can just be a little painful, and there isn't anything to worry about, if it is too bad just take some pain killers and you'll be right! lol

I hope this brings some peace for you, it may not be the same in your case, but at least you know there are others out there with something simlar.

Ta
