Does any one know of any compact capsule/carseats?
We recently upgraded to a subaru forrester as we like the safety aspects, but now have the news of expecting twins and I don't like our chances of fitting 3 carseats in the back!
what cars(dp has started looking at people movers:laughing: ) best accomdate 3 little carseats?

Hi Nichole,
A friend of mine has triplets and all three fit in the backseat of their Subaru Outback.
They all had the Safe n Sound Compaq Deluxe carseats. I think your car will be fine!!
COngratulations on the twins!! :D

thanks ... I just spotted them on the babies galore web site... we live in broken hill which is pretty isolated, and usually have to order things in...hopefully the local baby store will have one or two(or three) on hand so we can test them out!

hi. you could get 2 safe n sound compaqs for your twins and then a safe n sound discovery plus (i think thats what it is called) for your other little one. might be cheaper that way. Unless you want them to all match... then I fully understand.
I have a Ford Focus and I can fit a safe n sound meridian AHR, advantage and a small backless booster seat in my car. (must admit it is a tight squeeze but they do fit.

ds is in a safe and sound meridian at the moment, we were thinking about getting the maxi rider for him and using the meridian for #2,until we found out it would be #3 aswell.
The main thing that worries us is that when in rearward facing mode, with the meridian, it pushed the passenger seat forward considerably. now do we place the twins side and middle, or ds in the middle and twin either side. Hopefully the compaq seats don't push the front seats up so far that we're touching the dash, dp and I are only little people aswell! I have a friend who is 6ft 2 , and his head touches the ceiling in most cars poor buggar!!( off track I know)

I was going to say to check that they fit in your car when in the rear facing position. The baby store should let you take them out to the car to check. My inlaws have a Forester as well, our Safe-N-Sound Jupiter Ultra wont fit in it when in the newborn position (it barely fit in our Magna either actually).
Good luck deciding what to do.
