Hi Girls,
Im really pinged off with the gp i went to when the boys were 6 days old, she was so bad she did the wrong health check and didnt even fill out the 5-10day health check in the babies record. pretty upset about it actually.
anyway i need a gp somewhere close to wishart. i have twins that desperately need to have their 5-10 day check done properly as they are now 12 days old, any recommendations would be much appreciated.
thankyou

Not sure if Parkinson is too far for you (if you go on the motorway, should take you no more than 10 mins or so to get there, providing traffic is good)
But there is a doctor there called Adelle Addison. She is absolutely wonderful. She will always listen to anything you are concerned about and knows her stuff (having 3 children of her own whom she breastfed). Very very down to earth, too.
Anyway, the medical practice is called Parkinson Plaza Medical Centre. I can PM you the number if you like.

We might be a bit far away, but we go to Victoria Point MEdical and Dental with the girls. Dr Smith has done all of their health checks and shots. He often does the shots himself instead of the treatment nurse.
I have a friend at Wishart i could ask for you if you like....

Wish I had read this yesterday ;) I made an appointment for April's 12 month checks & immunisations at a random place as I am shopping for a good GP. If I don't like the doc I see I will try this dude next! Can you PM me the details? Cheers.

We go to Garden City family doctors, Dr Marlene Shultz is lovely as is Dr Anwar Seedat, they are both very supportive of BF. I wouldn't stress too much about the checks, if you think your baby is fine, it is :)

I live about 15 - 20 minutes away from that area... and I do the trip over to Mt Gravatt to see my doctor -rain, hail or shine! I refuse to see anyone else!
The Upper Mount Gravatt Day and Night Medical centre! Ask for Michael McLennan! He is dead set fantastic! He's straight up, will go out of his way to find out what is wrong when there is something wrong, talks to you casually as well as on a doctor level, always compliements how well the kids are and how amazing they are.
He has looked after me since DS1 being born, was the only doctor I found who would listen to me when he was having problems and told me "it was normal for babies to chuck and scream all the time" (turns out DS1 was lactose intolerant). He supported me amazingly through my miscarriage and now looks after DS2... he's amazing!
