Sure

there were a few things very worrying in that one, im glad i have delayed for now

http://www.mmrthefacts.nhs.uk/resources/pdf/merck_mmr_pil.pdf

The bit that scared me the most was these bits

Carcinogenenis, Mutagenenis, Impairment of fertility

MMR has not been has not been evaluated for carcinogenic, Mutagenic Potential or potential to impair fertility.

Nursing mothers

It is not known whether measles or mumps vaccine virus is secreted in human milk. Recent studies have shown that lactating post partum women immunized with live attenuanted rubella vaccine may secrete the virus in breastmilk and transmit it to breastfed babies.

I feel sick that i have done that after each babies.

Here is the GSK info for different adult and infant vaccinations, not sure if different brands are used, but I know my GP uses infantrix, I had boostrix when I did all my vaccination catch-ups last year.

Far out...I was vaccinated twice for rubella after DS was born, my body just won't take the vaccine.

It must have gone straight out of me and into him!

I guess that is something to consider Jaxcoop.

I would like to see more study done in many many areas, that being one.:o

I did however come across a very interesting small scale study (the university that conducted it are planning to do a bigger scale funded study) in that pregnant women being given the flu vax and the babies had produced their own antibodies or T cells in the womb.

I would be interested if a breastfeeding mother was vaccinated if the same thing would apply, flu vax given in mother would create antibodies the baby would receive via breastmilk.

I guess the MMR 'shouldn't'(?) be required for a nursing mother if they were vaccinated as a child anyway?

Sorry I thought one at 1 and 4 was all that was needed..
Although I haven't made any decisions yet, I was thinking of delaying the MMR until the immune system was developed around 5 but now I think a child getting a live vax like that whilst having the benefits of breastmilk would make a lot of sense, but if I do full term feeding I should be able to delay it awhile anyway.

Do you mean specifically if you get vaccinated while your still breastfeeding?

i can't imagine that you mean if you got it done as a child that it would pass through to the baby (but i'm just checking.)

And thanks for the links guys

The reason i get it is because rubella wears off on me, i can't seem to be immune to it so everytime i have given birth i get it.

No it means while you are breastfeeding and you get the vax it can go secrete into your milk.

I know it is quite common for women who have just given birth to get it
