Hi K&H mum... I'm south of coffs so not too far away from you, I have a 3yr old DS & 6mth old DD. We moved to coffs in december last year. I really love it up here, luckily I have some family up here for company but it does get a bit isolating when you dont know anyone else with kids, especially someone close in age (i'm 26).

I hope your enjoying this beautiful sunny day today, its a gorgeous morning.

Wow 3 girls, when I was little I always wanted 3 daughters!

Well better go & get some housework done, hope you have a great day!

Not a mum yet, but a mum to be. I moved to Coffs 6,5 years ago and most of my friends here are childless. Im currently 3 months pregnant and also a single mum to be. So I cant talk much about kids just yet, but still would like to meet up with mums and mums to be in the Coffs area :)

Well, how about meeting for coffee somewhere in town? Like Gloria Jeans or in the Plaza? (After school holidays lol, it's chaos in town at the moment).

Hello - can anybody recommend a good OB\GYN to deliver my baby due 01/12/09. We are moving to Coffs Harbour soon and will be delivering there.

Im due in January and used to be with doctor Garland. He's a GYN. However, I am now going through Pregnancy Care at the Coffs Health Campus.

They're really good at the hospital. Great midwives and doctors. They also offer great antenatal classes and things like "Aquafit" at the hydrotherapy pool there. Im starting the Aquafit after I have moved house next week. It's all run by physiotherapist

Hi ladies, I'm 23 and 28 weeks pregnant with my first baby. my husband and I have been in coffs for about a year and a half now, and I'm keen to meet mums as none of our friends here have very young children. I currently work full time and am worried about feeling isolated once bub is born!

hi everyone, i just requested to join the facebook mothers group. i'm moving to coffs from sydney in january. i have been in australia a year, moved over from ireland with my husband and 3 children. my eldest emma is 14 and i have 2 boys aged 2 and 3. looking forward to moving but dread the thoughts of starting again meeting people. i made a really good friend on this website so decided to give it another go. can anyone recommend a good preschool for my 3 yr old. we have not got our accomodation arranged but will more than likely be living in coffs and north of coffs as my husbands job will be on the north side. heading up there next fri for a look around schools etc. looking forward to hearing from anyone.:)

hey ladies,

i have lived here in coffs for about 5 years now and have alot of friends but ever since i have had a baby alot of them dont speak to me any more....so i am constantly looking for other mums to share good times with.
As i am a young mum (only 19) with one child (daughter age1) i havent really got many choices with friends haha as most mums are older and have nothing in common with me.
so get back to me young mums out there in my area and we can chat

thanks mumofone2jay :flowerz:

Hi Im in Toormina with a 13 month old boy. I am on Facebook, but dont have anything to do with this Coffs Harbour mums group on there and will keep it like that. I prefer to catch up with a few ladies and their kids and make good friends while remembering all their names, than meeting up with a whole bunch and being left with "acquaintances" who I cant remember the name of :D

Anyhoo, I am looking for a few more ladies to catch up with for playdates and a cuppa. My neighbour has a 9 month old boy and is also looking for people to meet up with. She moved here with her partner from Sydney a few months ago and found it very hard to get to know people if she's not a local. Plus she actually doesn't use Facebook either. We go swimming on Tuesday mornings in Sawtell with our boys and would love it if some other ladies and kids could join us. Or if it rains, we meet up at the Greenhouse Tavern, Tabatinga or Jungle Bungle.

So let me know if anyone wants to catch up for a playdate and a cuppa. Kids dont necessarily need to be the same age either, just DS isn't talking yet, but is running around lol :D

Hi everyone, I have a 1 year old boy Darren and moved to Coffs a few months ago.

Hi Misschief, would like to catch up with you, we have boys of the same age.

So what's this group some of you ladies are on about? Is that on BubHub?

Oops, sorry. I see it is on facebook. Can someone PM me a link or name? I'll join it and have a look what's happening locally, but agree a bit with Misschief. Would rather meet up with a few ladies with kids the same age as mine, than have a playdate with 50 people who I cant remember names of :)

Hi Mum! I dont have the link as I dont associate with them any more. You'll have to ask someone else for the link.

Just drop me a PM and we can organize a meet up, perhaps at the Greenhouse Tavern (near the cinema)? Its great for kids and they do offergood and cheap lunches. Or we can go to Tabatinga and have a cuppa there? I take my son there once a week. There are 2 baby area's where the little ones can entertain themselves. They're cheaper than the Jungle Bungle right now.

Anyway, just send me a message and we'll go from there :)

Hi ladies,
Have read through this thread- wondering what became of your attempted meet ups? Doesn't look like this thread has been active for a while...
I'm also interested in meeting up; I live south of Coffs, in Nambucca, but am happy to come your way...

I think people are meeting up via Facebook these days. I have setup playdates/meets for several new mums via Facebook.
I prefer to go via Facebook in case my ex is reading BubHub and he finds out where we're meeting. He might show up. Something I really dont want to happen lol. If you have Facebook, PM me your details and I'll add you. Though I wont be setting up playdates for the next 2 months as DS and I are going to Europe for a month.

I also regularly go to one of the big playparks around Coffs with DS and a few fellow mums. DS especially likes the one in Brelsford Park. I also go to the Jungle Bungle at times and also Tabatinga. You're most welcome to come along :)
