Hi There, I am new to this site so please pardon my ignorance.
I had my implanon removed in Feb and had a period (well a light one) straight after. Since then nothing! I am a little worried as I am 36 and feel like time is running out. Up until feb my husband and I were indifferent about children but we had an explosion that made us see the light. I had the implanon for 8 years and really didnt experience a period unless i got stressed. I know this isnt a good sign although at the time it was easy as no period meant no fuss. Now, its simply scary... Can anyone shed light on what will happen next if anything? I get a huge bloated stomach like a period and also the cramping but simply no blood and no ovulating (using the maybe baby to test).
I have also had a preg test as after last period we were doing ALL the right things but obviously not preg. Now no period and not sure. I gather from reading that a Doc wont help either, they will simply say give it time...but I feel like time isnt on my side...Any advice is welcome..
Many Thanks
TD

Hi bytebaby
I am unsure if i can help you but will give you my experience after implanon, I had mine in for 3 years - no period for first year, 2nd year was here and there...... then quite regular in the last year, i have children from previous marriage and was always very fertile.....had my implanon taken out in may 08 and have recently just found out hubby and i are expecting :yelclap: but it took 11 months of very serious TTC i am 37 and hubby 41....my dr just said to ttc for 12 months as when your a bit older it can just be normal for it to take that long..we had sperm test done and all the usual tests/ultrasound for me all clear...i was 3 days from fs appointment when we found out. I do know if after 6 months of ttc after age 35 most Dr's will refer you to a fs if that's what you would like. i believe the implanon did slow things down for us also age factor..i would just make an appointment with the dr explain your concerns/age/no period etc and insist that you guys want it all to happen soon ...i prob shouldn't have waited so long.
good luck and :babydust2::babydust2:

ditto to what bbluedust said!
As a side note dont feel like you are running out of time, my auntie had her first child at 42 or 43! She to had events that showed her how important kids are!
Good luck with it all
