After having got my hands on a variety of MCNs and getting an idea of the size and feel of different styles and configurations, I think I've FINALLY decided to go with the pockets & AI2s (hmmm....or AIOs with flip out boosters - aaargghhh!!!! - my true AIOs just take too long to dry)

Anyways, I am wondering what you find are the best compromise in terms of bulk vs absorbency. I've seen some bubs in MCNs that are so bulked up with boosters that they almost come down to their knees!!

So what is your favourite 'trim' nappy?

I have a variety of pockets and AI2's and the ones I keep coming back to in terms of efficiency/trimness, are BumGenius and Itti D'lish sown in ones.

BumGenius are not the prettiest (although I don't mind them), but they are trim, comfortable and fast drying. I have a couple of Greenkids and these are possibly just as good - I haven't had them long.

I also like Cushie Tushies as far as cuteness and absorbency, but they are a little bulky.

Same with Itti D'lish snap in's.....actually they are not so much bulky, but I don't like the big wad of bamboo so much.

I also have a Berry Plush which is SO luxurious inside, I wish I could wear it:laughing: Bulky though. The thing about some of these nappies is that they are so cute it seems a shame to cover them up!

I love my Issy Bear Day Nappies and Issy Bear Night Nappies (they are pocket nappies).

Wonderful product with great absorbency. Have never had a leak with them :D. Contains those unexpected explosions too!

Harriet - instead of covering them up, have you thought about baby leg warmers? I use them on DD3 with her MCN and it looks so cute! If you have someone who can knit or crochet there are lots of free patterns on the internet you can use......

I like Itti D'lish snap-ins and Baby Beehind Minky Magicalls. The magicalls are not as trim as the Itti's but they do hold lots and they make a great night nappy too - with a tri fold booster added, which doesn't make it too big bulky and she can still move around easily. Also a magicall at night means I don't need to add a cover of any sort, I am amazed how heavy they often are in the morning but with no leaks.

The magicalls do take a long time to dry which is why I mainly use them for night time and stick to the Itti D'lish snap-ins for day use - they are quicker to dry.

The Itti web site sells a trial pack of their 2 types of nappy (snap-in & sewn-in) which I think is a good way to see which sort suits you best.

my fave trimmest nappy would be the BG AIO sized nappies...but they seem to be in scarce supply :(

my bitti d'lish sewn in would be one of my fave trim nappies I think.

And also my iishfly AI2s are quite trim too.

And magicalls though I only have the old type so I don't like to use them as much, they're my nappies for MIL and DH.
