Hi!

Just wanted some advice on whether anyone has had the twinrix shots (Hep A and B immunistion) or heard of anyone that has while pregnant? DH and I have decided to start TTC#2 in 6 weeks time :smiliedance: and because I am now working in Childcare, it has been recommended that I get myself immunised against any potential diseases. Now I have had my first dose of twinrix and there are apparently 2 more to go...one in 4 weeks and the third in 6 months. My Gp read the info on twinrix and it has said that there is no conclusive evidence that it can be harmful in pregnancy, but I really want to make sure. It would only be worrying for the last dose as next dose falls before we will be trying. That's if I fall pregnant within 5 months of trying!! I just want to know if anyone has any advice for me?? HAve you heard of others who have had it, or whether the last dose can be taken later than the 6 months - so after the pregnancy etc? Would greatly appreciate it!!

Sorry if this doesn't make sense! I tend to ramble:ecomcity:

Thanks in advance!!!

I personally would give TTC a miss until you've finished the immunisations.

Maybe you could ask for an early referral to an OB to ask?

Thanks for your reply Clarabelle! I think I will ask my GP when I have the next dose as to whether I can get it any earlier, if not we will put off ttc until after then...Even though I desperately wanna start now!!! It is only 6 months away I guess!

Thanks again!!
