Hiya girls
Just thought the last thread was getting way long so thought a new thread could be a fun idea, and would look less scary for any new members who wanna join in the chats.

So how has everyone been, aside from the Uni Buffs! lol.

Things are 'ok' here, Zeaks just had his shots 2 days ago, im fighting off a nasty cold that he gave me and i dont appear to be winning either :gloomy:
Im moving to Adelaide soon too, prob by the start of August! Yay cant wait to get out of this hole!
What else, um, my new car is great, and my cat is a freak. Hey - why is that altho cats can apparently see very well in the dark, mine runs full speed, head on, into a stategically places suitcase hahaha! was so funny. She didnt know wat was going on!

Ok thats me, feel free to join in any one and everyone. !!

Hi guys

I had to go back to the docs today because of my bung eye. I woke up this morning unable to open my eye because it was so sensitive to light, which sent stabbing pains through my head. My eye was also BRIGHT red. Looked really bad. Anyhoo long story short, ended up going to Sir Charlie Gardner Hospt to see a specialist. Apparently I have something called Iritis. Which if untreated can lead to blindness. yay. Glad I went back to the docs now. I have been given steroid drops and some pupil dilating drops to stop my Pupil from attaching to my eye lens. ouchies. All that's left is a barrage of tests to see if it is caused by autoimmune diseaes or arthritis etc etc. Lots of fun things that could have caused it, none of which I want to have. Doc also told me that despite the fact that I feel healthy despite my eye, sometimes the eye condition is the first syptom of these probs. So :fingerscrossed: it's unrelated and a once off. Cos it can go on and on and on and on over the yrs (bit like this post! :ecomcity: )

Sorry bout the long spiel, just felt like having a chat. Feeling sore and sorry for myself.hehe I'll live!

Hope everyone else is doing a damn sight better than me at the mo!LOL

PS misskittyfantstico - my bro is a Trinity oldboy! He loved it there. Is your bro enjoying his time there?

Very cool..I did the Australian lit - fiction into film...I had Brenda Walker and really loved it (and her)
My bro did his honours in creative writing (poetry) at UWA then went to Notre Dame and did his dip ed. He teaches english and english lit at Trinity College.

i had andrew lynch for the aus lit unit. he was great - very considerate of my "condition" LOL (i was pg at the time) but i would have to say my fav english lecturer is van ikin (into to & t&p of CW) - the guy is such a champ, and he always brought lollies or chocie biscuits :D because i did the fantasy/sci-fi stream in M&TA i had him then aswel (also while pg).

a friend of mine is doing the dip. ed. this year, and she told me to not even attempt to do it full time. so i am hoping to get it done in 18 months, so that we can start trying for another baby sooner (i want to finish uni before i have #2). one day id really like to do the dip. critical thinking. it is basically the first two years of the masters of education. i dont want to do the ma ed cause if i ever get around to doing a masters (after getting my B.mus :p) i would like to do it in philosophy.

i think the general aim, long term, is to look at being a university lecturar in logical philosophy.
