Hey there (swear I am not stalking you!)

Roar is 16 months and I took her to Dr last week for same reason, turns out she has Thrush. Most likely caught from our washing machine  Gave me some prescription cream and some oral drops and ATM her bum looks great! and no more tears at nappychange time.

Does he get alot of nappy free time? found that helped HEAPS!

What are you wiping his bottom with? My middle DD was allergic to huggies wipes - most wipes seemed to irriate her but the huggies were the worst. We ended up having to use a spray bottle of water and face washers.

She was also allergic to some disposable nappies - huggies and snugglers really irratated her bottom.

Lucas Paw Paw cream helped her whenever it got really bad and I also love a product called Botty Butter - google it, it has a honey base and is lovely, just sort of melts onto the skin and works well too.

Lots of nappy free time helps too - you can get little towelling undies from Best & Less which help to catch any accidents.

Goodluck!

Try Daktozin, its a thick zinc cream with antinfungal in it. It is the best stuff EVER! you can buy it over the counter.

Try some bicarbinate soda in bubs bath water (a tablespoon or two) it has great healing properties and is rather soothing too (I have used this for burns myself!)

Poor bubs... its hard to work out the problem when there are so many things that could cause it :(
